Im running a 160 watt 27" razor over my 36x18x12 rimless tank. Its 12 inchess above the water. Tallest rock in my display is 5-6 inches. Im keeping some sps but not sure if im underlighting them. Im running an 8 hour photoperiod 2hr ramp up 4hr at 10w 30b 2hr ramp down. For those of you with experience with this light does this seem reasonable. My sps isnt browning, but i also dont want to fry it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

I would definitely turn it up a notch or two...
I run my 10k Kelvin Razor on a 32x24x20 tank at 75% white and 90-100% blue for 8.5 hours/day (not including ramp-up and down) and my corals like it so far (was running a bit lower during acclimation). I have it about 6-8 inches from the water surface. |

Thanks tigrtraps. I haven't bought Razor yet. I just noticed that 300W version came out and here in europe its price equivalent to 2x120W.
Thus I will most likely go directly to 300W. It is of course overkill to my tank but I can always run it on lower % and that would hopefully give leds some extra lifetime as well. And if I ever get bigger tank I will have enough illumination to that too. |

its a single 27" 160w 16k Razor, hung 18" above water level. its a great light set, cheap for what you get and MUCH better then some of those "high end" led lights. Thanks!!! Quote:
