I am a she actually, lol It is very disheartening when someone does not appreciate my advise. I have helped several people on the anemones and clownfish forum and love to help anyone that has any issues. I don't like to see any animal in distress and just like to really make sure that people understand it is best to have a tank that is nearly a year old before introducing such a delicate species. There are water parameters that we can not check for that can definitely stress out any animal.
I understand that you are doing the best that you can now on an impulse purchase. I just wanted to see you wait quite a while before attempting another one if that one kicked the bucket. As for the freeze dried krill, you need to be searching through the frozen foods at your LFS for silversides, large plankton, krill, mysis, squid, ect. The foods needs to be raw meat and not freeze dried. Also, if they have vitachem or selcon, that would greatly boost the nutritional value of anything you feed it.

ok, im glad you understood i wasn't trying to be mean. so im glad thats taken care of. i did pick up some silversides, frozen mysis shrimp, and vitachem to feed him today.
now that your ok with posting in this thread again i have a question for you. since the little guy is so small should i cut the silverside in half and soak in vitachem? or should i just put the whole piece in to give to him? |

the smaller the better I think, so it doesn't have to work very hard to eat it.

Try for around 1/4" slices. The smaller the food, the easier it is to digest. Good choices on foods

Its looking better!! All you can do now is keep up with tank maintenance, and be patient. I know waiting is the worst part, but hang in there, and give it some time. Don't try to feed it to often. Also try to feed a variety of foods the more variety the better!!! I would try to feed it again in 2 or 3 days until it starts to show a lot of improvement. Then I would cut down to feeding once or twice a week. When my anemone wasn't doing well I cut the food up really really well almost shredding it, its a lot easier for the anemone to eat.
Good luck!!!

? tomato complex clowns ? They are a 30 gal rated fish wich i think is to small but in his 75 gal i see no problem. I also agree with waiting untill your BTA is healthy if you did want to add the tomato clowns. They did aggrevate my BTA and it took time for him to adjust to the clowns. But he did. I also think this tank by its pics doesnt appear to be readu for a BTA or much other stock. Its to clean and looks as if it needs to mature. |
