Yeah that set up with the frag tank below in the stand was awesome. I wonder how hot the inside of that stand gets.

hahnmiester, thanks for that post of the beautiful T5 tank. I am a big proponent of the, "this thread is worthless without pictures" approach! lol.

IMO Current USA anything=crap

Just to give you a heads up.

andy

Sorry, I should have listed the link for that second tank...
http://www.miniriff.de/Szczyra/szczyra.html
Not in the US...

There are several other people, some here, with awesome T5 lit tanks. Iwan Lasser's (look him up), and multiple ones on Korallen Zucht's own website, including the owner's (Thomas Pohl)...
http://www.korallen-zucht.de/en/gall...nks/index.html

Not to mention the past TOTM winner Danano...
http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...totm/index.php

And a few tanks you will find here as well:
www.korallenriff.de
http://archiv.korallenriff.de/bericht_technik.html

I would consider T5 just as capable, if not more so in many ways, of growing SPS. I, myself, run 275 watts of halide and 250 watts (4x54) over my 125, but have decided to replace it all with a 10x54watt T5 fixture.

I have a 48 inch sundial for sale that was only used one month in the for sale section. It worked great but went differnt route. I have used current fixtures the last 5 years and have nothing but great luck with them.

Here are some growth pics from my 240W (6x39W) T5 setup on my 65. I dont have any yet of my 8x54 T5 light over my 120G.

This is about 2 months of growth.

And this is about 5 months of growth though the picture is from a little different angle so its harder to see.

I think I am getting some good growth with my T5s, again thanks to Grim for giving me the bulb choices.
