saltydude, I hear you on the to much LR and to big of pieces! They don't look as big until you get them in your tank! I need a bigger tank to create the open looked I'd like to have.

rachel. I attended a seminar by scott fellman and he made a interesting point. Less rock, dont overkill on the light and have mucho flo. I still have to much in my opinion and I probally got rid of 30 pounds.

saltydude, my rockwork doesn't go quite are far up as yours but that's probably because I have mine coming farther forward. I'd like to drill some holes and connect some pieces with rods so I could stack mine up a little higher, create some caves ya' know.

Red coris wrasse...I bought him because he "looked cool" as a juvenile. I hadn't done any research on him at all. He proceeded to flip over every rock he could and would even pick them up and move them to the other side of the tank. It took me three weeks to finally catch the SOB.

This thread should be posted in the newbie forums so people like myself that are entering the hobby could learn from others misfortunes.
Great thread.

I took a lunar wrasse from a guy who swore he'd flush it if I didn't take it. It was really small for about 15 minutes. Next thing you know it's 6" long and eating every snail and crab I put in the tank. That led to an algae problem which led to me trying to catch the fish for months before tearing the entire tank down to get him. Put him in my new empty elos mini overnight and he jumped to his death before going back to the store the next day.

I took a chance on a Coral Beauty and boy was that a mistake. A couple of months later I had to tear my tank apart to catch him. That was a PITA!

I also made a mistake and bought GSP and Hairy Mushrooms. They tried to take over the whole tank.

Current Nano Fission skimmer. By far this is the most incredibly inexcusably pathetically horridly designed piece of equipment. At least it was cheap and I can use the powerhead that came with it for mixing salt mix.

Current Nova Extreme. I ordered online and didn't realize the reflector wasn't individual.

Coralife T8 electronic ballasts for a plant tank. They killed over after a year and a half.
