I am thinking about ordering this skimmer and would love to know how much clearance I need from the back edge of the tank to the wall I need.

Help with my first skimmer! Bubble Magus e3 external
I'm having a hard time because there were no instructions in English that came with my skimmer. I'm having to figure it out without having ever used one.
I secure it to the side..add a little water for the pump and plug it in. I have the blue dots lined up, and it fills up...but it fills beyond and threatens to overflow each time. The air flow is off when this happens. How do I set it up so that the water level remains below the uhh...collection cup, I'm not sure what the proper term is..? Thank you soooooo much!

Open the air inlet when it starts to fill up but slowly. It's a tricky skimmer to get dialed in.

Yuck they use atman pumps? I would think they would use a way better line than that garbage. I had one on my Eshopps and switched it for a sicce 2.0. I had to diy my own washers out of plastic because the ceramic washers in the atman disintegrated while running. Most unreliable pumps.

Also, dialing in the skimmer on my eshopps was a lot easier after switching pumps.

Thank you for the review.
On some of the pictures of this skimmer I've seen on the internet the inlet and outlet pipes are sometimes on different sides, can they be rotated/swivelled to achieve this or are they fixed/glued into position? Many thanks Edit, cancel my post, appears I've looked at the pictures wrong lol! Last edited by dava6711; 06/13/2014 at 03:24 AM. Reason: Error |
