That could be debatable. Looking on the spread of the lights you would have to raise them to above 40 inches to cover the entire tank that is 36 wide. If you run two of them even at 12: high you cover the entire tank but your par could be actualy excessive especialy for the Acans.

Unfortunatly I have not seen any comercial LED light yet designed for a large surface are on a shallow tank like many of us use for ***s.

Current Tank Info: Main tank 120 Gallon, 432 Watts T-5's plus 30 Watts of LED's, Frag 40 Gallon tank 234 Watts T-5's, 3 Frag tanks all 40 Gallon with LED lighting between 60 and 84 Watts. All LEDs are DIY Oh and then there is fresh water tanks 270 gallons

First off, my Apollo’s were going in a canopy, so the cable hangers weren’t going to work. I have the “older” non-controllable Apollo’s that have the four eyebolts for clipping to the cables (the newer ones have 6mm studs that attaches to adjustable cables).

Anyway, what I did was pick up offset aluminum angle at HD and attached it to the eyebolts using #8 machine bolts. The angle gave the clearance necessary for the wires and switches.
