TMONEY,,in need of your advice plz
Your tank looks phenomenal , corals look even better.
Well, Im doing same thing you did just on a smaller level, a lot smaller. Like a 30 g peninsula. I had planned on doing the samething you did with your Vortechs but I was concerned it would push everything way from return. Other option is putting on opposite end, but what good is a penninsula if you have a **** pump on the other end creating a big eye sore breaking up your view. Do you have any problems with water w any debri or anything for that matter no flinging your return? Plan on changing aquascape up tomorrow , just got everything transferred yesterday. |

Hey outlets, Sorry I just saw this!
First off thank you! The vortech's on the back wall sometime make me worry about enough flow, but what ive been reading is just watch you corals and they will tell you if they need more or less flow. So far my tank has been doing really good with growth so im not planning on changing it to much. Your tank is looking really good so far! I also had the same thoughts about putting them on opposite ends! But came to the same conclusion you had about the style tank. |

It shouldn't be a problem. The Vortechs will just push the detritus into the water column, which will eventually make its way into the overflow wether its being pushed away from it or not. I know it doesn't sound right, but it might actually help water into the drain from there better than without it.

Pics are unbelievable. What type of camera and settings do you use, I have an ATI fixture 4x24 so might not turn out same but anything is better than what I have been taking.
