Yes...that config makes my tank look more than enough white for my tastes. So now I am worried that the coral plus will be way too white."

No offense meant..... but have you had your eyes checked? Theres no way that a purple + with 5 blue+ is white.

I just got the coral plus.. I like its look.

My tank is a 6 bulb config...

ATI B+
UL Super Actinic
ATI B+

ATI CORAL +
GE65000
ATI B+

With the first sequence im getting good pop and true dusk dawn look very bluewith a hint of purple ... the second sequence comes on and the tank looks very nice.. with the second sequence by themselves it is very crisp white.. no yellowk...

With them all on at the same time I get a light blue hue the reds, greens. and pinks seem to stand out without looking "fake."

I have been using this bulb for 3 weeks and really like the amount of red it adds to the tank. I run a 6 bulb fixture and tried a purple plus but it was too pink even with several blue plus. IMO the coral plus has about half the red that the purple plus does which is about perfect for me. It also has decent PAR numbers when I checked it.

llebcire - Nice colors. Which set up had more blue tint to it, your old configuration or the new configuration?

I have a 4bulb fixture. Those who are looking for the most par, Leave the purple plus out if you only have a 4bulb unit, I like using 3blue plus and 1coral plus..Looks super great. Can see a tint of pinkish red with blue and white. With the new coral plus,it has very good par.

The new combination.

I never really like the original combination, especially with the KZ as the second bulb as it was too pink.

The new combo has a slight purple/blue hue to it that I enjoy, almost like there's a 03 Actinic on the tank.

Really wish I could get an accurate picture.

phasezero - any more pics of your tank with that 4 bulb set up (b+,p+,c+,b+)? Very nice...it looks like you have sps and a clam on your sandbed (in a 40breeder?)...so how is that working out for your corals (including acros)? What kind of history do have you accumulated with this bulb combo? Note, I ask because I really like what you showed and have 4 bulbs to replace over my 46bow. cheers

Older thread, was looking for some opinions. 4 Bulb Sunpower

Option 1:
B+
C+
Purple+
B+

Option 2:
B+
AB Special
Purple +
B+

I am receiving the light with 2 B+'s and a Purple+, so that is what I am working with; I'm looking for a nice 15-20K look, without forgetting about pinks/reds... Any thoughts?

I like my set up as it stands now...though I've toyed with putting a white actinic in there and swapping out the p+

Current:
P+, B+, C+, B+

I have the ATI Dimmable Sunpower fixture and I currently run 5 B+, Fiji Purple, 2 KZ New Generations. It's getting close to that time to buy new bulbs. Should I switch out both KZ New Generations for two Coral Plus? And is the ATI similar to Fiji Purple? If not, then should I keep the Fiji Purple in there or go with the Purple Plus?

The Fiji Purple and the P+ are very similar.
The Coral + has more red in it than the KZ NG
