Yeah, the phosban reactors have rubber 99s that just pop off and I can take it comp, etely out of the sump before taking the top off.
The picture doesn't do it much justice as there is quite a bit of depth to the rock work so there is a lot of room on top for coral. I am a little concerned about the fish hiding places. There are a lot of small caves on the backside but am not sure if there are enough. I have a bunch of rock in the other tanks that I suppose if this ends up as an issue I can put more in the DT Thanks for the compliments btw |

Just a few more updates:
I installed an apex controller and will need to get up to speed so I can program it I also got my auto topoff installed and working The system has been cycling a little over a week. My ammonia readings never got much higher than 0.5 (from best I can read being color blind with the salifert kit), nitrites are at 2 ppm, nitrates at around 17, so I assume it's doing it's thing |

It's been a while since I've updated my progress so here is where I am at..
The tank cycle is just about complete. Nitrites are at 0.2 ppm and I should be doing a water change this weekend to help bring the nitrates down a bit. I have a skunk cleaner shrimp and a blood red fire shrimp happily living in my barren reef and I hope to have my lights built this weekend. Everything is wired and tested, but I still need to finish the enclosure and hang them and program the Apex to sunrise and sunset I also have lighting over the remote refugium and have chaeto growing. I've seen about a dozen micro brittle stars inhabiting my rock that hiked in with the chaeto. Next step is to set up my QT tank and start buying fish |
