Question New tank

I loved this page. I want to buy a new tank about 150 gals and I am so scared to buy a bad one that will leak. I liked some of the review for GC but anyone suggest anything also or know a web page that is easy like GC..P

I bought a 300g 96x24x31 from glass cages about 18 months ago. They met me at the interstate while passing through my town,p and cut me a great deal on shipping. I don't have much experience with other higher end tanks and cosmetically speaking I am sure there are better options. However I don't have any fear of leaks or the tank breaking, it is sturdy. The euro bracing doesn't seem to block any light IMO. the tank was ridiculously heavy though.

Just bought a GC 63 x 28 x 48.50 tall aquarium from them. great price and was only $130. to ship to Elmsford,NY. Great guys to deal with. They helped getting it in my truck too.
Going to buy a 96 x 36 x 36 from them as well.

Are you talking about center braces/supports? I don't see how euro bracing would ever block any light around the edge!

Any news on your glass cage tank?
What do you think of them?

Probably not a lot of change back from 1,000 lbs.

From that point on it was garbage.
I gave it away and that person tried to reseal it and 5 months later the seam split even bigger than when I had it.

Instead of top go with bottom bracing 3/4" thick glass.

I got a 160/g custom from them about 6 yrs. ago and it was built to last. The only con - sloppy silicon work.

I usually feel like people are more likely to post a review if they've had problems than if everything is going great. I try to review a product whether or not I like it.

Out of curiosity, glass or acrylic. Sounds like glass.

I'm considering one. Many years ago I bought a World Class Aquarium that lasted me for 18 years before I sold it, and the construction of that tank is almost identical to how GC makes theirs (so close, that I wonder of it's the same builder). Only difference is the extra bracing along the bottom. My only real hesitation is the logistics and weight.

I had a fragtank from them that was probably 3' x 18" x 8". It was insanely heavy for its size. The glass they used was very thick and all the bracing doubled it up in some spots.

If you are going down the stairs I'd just use a blanket to drag it. Have people at the bottom of the steps to gradually let it slide down the steps.

Just never sell it because it wont go back up the steps
