Well I have replaced the apex with a profilux 3. So far I'm happy with it. I like the fact I can now get the profilux doser and have everything matching.

Got a new piece of equipment. This is the vertex libra dosing pump. Very sleek and touch screen is pretty cool. This doser is supposed to be very accraute down to the 0.5 ml

Here is was at macna http://youtu.be/FCd0FIzs6Rk

A great fantastic build. Love everything about it. You really seemed to have done your homework on this one!

Let us know how the doser goes. Is the minimum dose amount 0.5ml?

Thanks for documenting, tagging along for future learning!

Still following this thread. I like everything about this build, cabinet, color of cabinet, aquascape, choice and management of equipment. Any particular reason you decided to go with the Zeovit system?

Tank looks great. What kind of wood and black paint did you use? I build my last tank out of oak and it was a pita to paint...

The plywood is birch. I used black satin paint and sprayed the stand with a gun.

Finally got all the new equipment installed and hooked up. I have to redo the equipment panel, kinda of a pain.

So far very happy with the profilux controller, I like the fact is comes with a port for an optical sensor.

Some new updates....yay!

Picked up a new fish.

Also got another cool package from vertex! The matching pair to my skimmer

This thing is built really well. Feels just like the skimmer.

The return pump is a waterblaster 5000. I think the noise is pretty low and not dead silent.
