Then there's the question of which ballasts...I know the m80 will run the 250watt with radium bulbs. |

Giesemann will do custom sizes. Probably a 'custom' price tho'.

They can set you up with the M80 ballasts and radium bulbs and have it shipped to your door for about $1,300ish if I recall |

so the cebu sun appears to be the way to go, the only problem is the the width is 13.5" and i don't think that will cover my 30" wide tank.

Do you have sps up against the front and back glass?
FWIW, the 60" is over my 84" tank and I can still grow lower light sps on the ends. And if you want, you can always attach a reefbrite strip front and back in the future.

Have you checked the classifieds for any used Sfiligoi xr4 or xr6 fixtures. They are rare but do come up occasionally. I just found a used 24" fixture that covers my 36x36 cube perfectly. I'm not sure of all the lengths they made.

WOA WOA WOA!! THIS LOOKS PERFECT!
http://www.hamiltontechnology.com/it...g-Systems-1723 can anyone explain the difference between hqi and mogul fixtures to me? i was going to run radiums originally but now i don't know what to run. i could run pheonix bulbs but i'm not sure how they compare to radiums. i also don't know what ballasts to run now either. if anyone could explain the differences to me i'm pretty sure i;m most likely to pull the trigger on this. |

You are worried about spread over a 30" tank and this will give you less spread.
Look at those little bulbs in those little reflectors.

Just a heads up but there is a rumor that Phoenix bulbs have been discontinued.
I'd run Radiums only if I was setting up a tank anytime soon

I don't know if that rumor has been verified by the company but thought you should know before you got all invested and then can't find Phoenix bulbs

D2mini said it before anyway, the DE fixtures with small reflectors won't cut it. Especially now that pheonix bulbs have been discontinued I'm still stuck. The only reason I won't buy the cebu is I don't like how it looks over my rimless tank. Sfligoi are impossible to find. I can't get a number for giesmann to make a call for a custom spectra fixture. I'm a little bumbed out. I could make a light rack but that's a headache.
I don't like how the cebu doesnt have individual reflectors or how it looks. This sucks |

I just got my Cebu on Friday and I don't think it would look that bad over a rimless tank. I also have a 60" tank that is 27" wide but I plan on hanging it about 10" over the water and it should cover I great. What I did was call Hamiliton and talked to them about my tank. The guy I talked to told me how high it should be to cover the area. I hope sometime this week I can get it hung up and running to replace my LEDs that just are not cutting it.
