Possible bad news...the stand came in but the LFS called to tell me the corner is damaged...

I haven't seen it yet.

My Reefer 250 was supposed to come yesterday but wasn't on the truck. LFS called and said the distributor called to tell them it was damaged so they didn't ship it. I thought it was an excuse for not really being in stock but maybe packaging problems?

That sucks, I know how much you've been looking forward to getting it.

Yes, it was really disheartening and my LFS was really disappointed also. He worked hard to get Red Sea to ship direct since the wholesalers were out of white, but honestly it's pretty poor packaging for a tank stand. It only had one layer of cardboard to protect it. Hopefully, when he calls Red Sea they'll get another one out quick!

At this point, with the 55lbs of rock I have in the brute trash can with water, should I be ghost feeding or anything else or is the bacteria already there? The rock has been cycling/curing for months now!

Natural Blue's Red Sea Reefer 250 Build

I would do some water tests to see where you are now. If no ammonia or nitrates, I would ghost feed sparingly

Did that T fitting for the reactor come with the reactor?

No, I got that at my local Lowes is a 3/4x3/4x1/2 T fitting. The 1/2 inch side is threaded and I added the push connect adapter.

Is the bucket topping off the ATO? If so what did you use to do it?

The Brute trashcan next to the tank has my live rock cycling/curing. I'm not going to use the stock ATO. If you go back in my thread a little ways you'll see I bought a 16 gallon ATO container and Tunze Osmolator for topping off my RO water.

I plan on making the stock ATO into either a refugium or an algae scrubber. Just afraid to drill the glass!

The collection cup on the Skimz skimmer is making me rethink my purchase. It's impossible to get off, but I put a ton of grease on the o-ring so it's getting a little better. Still need to figure out how to cleanly manage all the cords, they are so long so even coiled up they're an eyesore.

Not sure on the aquascaping yet but here is what I have so far. The overflow is a tad noisy, the ATO went a little crazy as I was adding/removing rock so I need to make some adjustments.

Where did you get that 16g container for your ATO water? I have been looking for something like that to fit in my Innovative Marine Nuvo SR-120 stand.

The cheapest I found it was at Agrimart.net

A pair of Black Ice Clowns and 3 Turbo snails entertain me now. I did get a small diatom bloom on two rocks at opposite ends of the tank but the Turbos are knocking it out quick.
