Thanks!! Just fixed a small leak on the external overflow and am excited to cement the plumbing.

So, flow to sump won't be a problem. In fact, at full power ridiculously over board. Sump has a slight leak. Sigh. I think it's from where the two halves are joined together. What I get for getting cheap/used.
![]() Fine tuned the Bean Animal, with 1.5" pipes handles the flow adequately and quite easily. Easily overkill. I'll post a vid when the return line is secured. Got a problem though, the water level in the tank is too high. It touches the center brace on the under side. (It flexes under load....) I could let it be, another thing to clean.... I placed the top edge of the weir close to the top, maybe 1/4" gap to keep fish from going over So do I just wait to drain and extend the teeth height with a Dremel? It's already bonded to the tank. Under the Eurobrace. That'll lower the water level I guess.

Enough done to fill, how long will this take to fill? All the plumbing works and leak tested. XF 280 Gyre installed, playing with settings. Beginning to think I need two. Sigh. Anyway, serviced RODI unit, water is filling 24/7. Placed a couple water leak alarms. Time to work on more things.

Looking good, I like the scape!
I'd drain and dremel down the slots on the overflow a little, I had the same issue with a previous tank and it always bugged me. I finally knocked a couple teeth out completely, not the prettiest solution but it worked. Id guess 4.5 days to fill with RO going constantly unless you have a big RO unit. ![]()

Is there a live webcam feed?? Nothing like watching grass grow, or in this case, watching water being made.

Stop inspiring the laziness before my wife takes another nut!
I did extend the weir slits though, not pretty but it should work. If it doesn't just going to cut all the teeth out and put on debris net and be done with it.

She's great, excited to see our fish in there.
![]() So the Gyre XF -280 is interesting. It really does push the flow across 8 ft. I really want a second one now. Maybe next Black Friday... Build isn't complete by any means, but soon more than functional!

Is any build complete? Unless you are getting out that is.

So true!
Once it gets skinned, Apex hooked up, with the auto top-off and mixing station good to go. Back to regular hobby mode and enjoy the fish.
![]() How about crazy maniacal mode to tinkering mode?

On your RODI, do you have it setup as a double filter or a single filter ? Double ones can increase the output. Do you have a booster pump attached to the RODI ?

Nah, just single without a booster. Was dealing with other stuff, going to revamp the rodi setup in the future.
I did setup a heated bucket for the pretube. Going to change the sediment filter again today. I figure, should be close to done by Wed evening. I started a tank watching thread in the main reef section for the fill.

![]() Printed a better final version, smoother snug like standard plumbing. AND ![]() Just little water needed to clear the overflow and fill the sump. Tomorrow mid by day should be heated, salinity adjusted and ready to start transferring. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

I already have everything cycled. Zero sand. Everthing in good condition. Still going to acclimate just because IO vs Reef Crystal's.
The live rock from the other tank, zero die off equals zero cycle... Yes. I'm that crazy. Well not really, already moved everything 1000 miles in a cooler... Theory is sound. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
