OK - how about some updated shots?

Long Shot - Left

Long Shot - Right

It's not much - but it's mine. Oh - and I've got redbugs on 4 corals as far as I can tell. I have flatworms still. I have bryopsis, hydroids, hair algae, the fuzzy red algae, the skinny red algae and an overgrowth of the bright red coralline.

But it's mine

Oh - and I found a hitchiker crab that's probably been in the tank since the beginning. It's too big to have come in inside a coral or frag... All black - small scooped claws - not fuzzy I'd say "I'll let him stay" but seeing as it's the first I've seen of him in the 4 years I've had this rock... I'm doubtful I'd be able to catch him.

nice james, glad to see that she is getting back to former glory. Don't worry about the flatworms and pests, all apart of the hobby sadly enough.

Looks good James! Looks just like I remember it.

Now if that pink water of yours would have grown me some coraline like that.

James, first off great tank and appreciate the log off your rebuild, it gives everyone who is in the early stages something to look foward too.
My question is about the annual sand trade. You might have mentioned it in the thread but seeing as how its 30 pages I might have missed it. Is the trade something you set up, or is it a club, is it only in SC or any other states?
Thanks,
Krys

90% of it - the remaining 10% has no PE, but I'm hopeful it will make it.

Thanks! I guess you like that red coralline huh? Too busy with my website to make a website for it

Maybe one day I'll put a page together for it.

shhhh.... The pictures are actually from some guy in the Philipines. He doesn't have a computer so I figure he'll never find out

Thanks for linking the sandtrade Timmy. Basically, you can get to the signup page on the bottom right of the page in my little red house.

Thanks again everyone. I'm gonna try and shoot some shots of individual corals.

Well, if they weren't you can blame Habib.

Cal and alk are pretty stable above NSW and mag is above as well.

I am getting good coraline on the rocks and in the shawdows now, everything under the lights is avoiding it though.

I wonder if it has to do anything with 250 watt DE's as opposed to your 175's.

I'm sure there are many variables but that is one it could be. Granted, you have the 400 in the center...

I'm finally getting good coralline all over the glass on my tank, under 250w and 400w MH. My water parameters are better than they've ever been in the past.

yeah - it could definitely be the light. I would bet that my overall PAR with 350W of SE 10k XM's and a 400W on HQI is pretty comperable to the 500W DE 14k...

James hopes he can be back here one day and misses you all.

In the meantime, here are some updated pictures taken after his halides and actinics were replaced.

WOW, that is amazing just how good it looks one year later. Looks just as good as it did before the crash. Maybe a little better. What ever happened to him anyway?

Yeah, your message says that he misses us all and hopes to return back here one day, and he hasn't posted anything since December, not like him at all!
