OK, Where do I sign up? My name is Ed and I am a corner reef owner.
I have a 92 gallon, and it's been running for 6 years, with an interruption for about a year when I converted it to a Seahorse tank.

Bernie - It depends on how large of a UV your wanting. If you can afford a Vortec, i'd say go for it. I guess any UV is better than none, and the bigger the better with them (to a point) as well as flow. I don't know if you have a sump or not, but if your looking at just a HOB UV i'd spend your money on the Vortec. If it's going in-line on your sump, make sure it's after skimmer and filters, and before your fuge. I think higher flow would be way more benneficial to your tank than any HOB UV you'd find. Many of the particles that would pass through with out being filtered first would be too large for the UV to do anything with, and your bulb would become dirty pretty quickly.

P.S. More tank pics are on thier way tonight!

Fish in the tank:
Bi-Color Pseudo
pacific blue tang
exquisite wrasse
maroon clown
pajama cardinal
pygmy angfel
2 blood spot anthias
and one more that i don't know it's name (eel like, black and tanish, zebra like coloring. Borrows alot, stays at bottom, and mostly just likes to poke about half it's body length out to eat and see what's happening))

I think the last one is a convict goby. I'm suprised that your Pesudo doesn't bully the wrasse and anthias around!

A really small Micro frag i've had for a little while

Encrusting Purple base Monti. This frag got lost in the tank changeover and almost died, but it's coming back nicely

Hammer that i got as a single head frag about the size of a quarter. Now it's bigger than a softball! I used to have a clown that loved living in there

Red Worm Colony and the cause of my dreaded Sawblade Calurpa outbreak!

Found this thread last night and after reading 36 pages tonight, I decided to join the club. I have a 90 gal corner pentagon with starfire fronts that was custom built to fit in a corner of the living room. Bought the tank in February of 2008 and after waiting for the new floor to be put in the living room, rebuilding the stand twice and numerous plumbing disasters the tank was ready for water on December 7th, 2008. I'll try to post more pictures this weekend.

Tank and stand before water

Sump being tested

Water added December 7, 2008

That tank looks nice Rocketlilly. I like how it's shorter and stretched out for a 90 gal. All the corners i've seen are pretty tall, and it looks like that one will leave you with tons of options!

Mike - Thank you! Yes some of the rock has been in my 20gal tank for about 5 or 6 years, and the lagoon style was the look i was going for. I plan on getting maybe 5 or so clams, and i'd like to try and get a few in the middle of the rock work, kind of spilling down to the sand bed. I read about using some bigger flat shells and gluing them with the smooth side up, where you want your clams to sit. Fill them with a little bit of sand, and the clams are supposed to settle right in! Anyone tried this before? Let me know if it works!

Reefscape15 i have heard of that. using emtpy clam shells or small flat peices of rock under the sand. works great. i tried to do so with my little Maxima and a little piece of rock, but it wasnt having it.

Agreed that tank should be pretty impressive after all is said and done.
I love the pentagon shaped sump too! Custome made or DIY?
Is the sump small ehough to fit though the front of the stand or does it have to go though the top?

Cheers!
