So like the original method. When using 1,2 and 3 in equal parts for example 50ml of each for a total of 150ml. Do you need to the remove 150ml of tank water to keep the salinity in check?

Aquaforest Rep question please:
I'm using Component ABC, recommended dose divided into daily amount fed via doser - dosing 1ml/day (7ml/week) above recommended level. I'm still having to add 4ml/day of iodide(Aquavitro) to maintain a 0.04-0.06 reading. This makes me think the others elements are perhaps being dosed to low also. To properly set correct dosing of ABC would iodide be a ok canary to use? eg: raise amount i am dosing until the ABC alone gives me a more consistent 0.04-0.06 Iodide reading? For Salt + Alk/Ca/Mg i'm using Aquavitro line,No AF agents down here & the salt is too heavy/expensive to import. Last edited by 2una; 05/05/2016 at 03:39 AM. |

When mixing my own component1+ with calcium, magnesium, and components a and v. It does not mix clear. Is this correct? Should it be stirred regularly to prevent any settling?

Yes sorry I meant strong a and b.
The container of pre mixed component 1+ I purchased was also cloudy. Like a little milky white and it does seem to settle on the bottom of my dosing container. Is this not normal? |

What about people using Calcium reactors? My tank has very low nutrients, and I have been dealing with pale acros and slow growth. I recently started dosing potassium nitrate to raise nitrates to a detectable level. It has helped some, but not 100%. I am interested in trying your products, but what should I be dosing since I already have stable alk/Ca/Mag? Thank you |

This depends on magnesium, are you buffering or running zeomag?
Either way, I would choose option 1, or option 3, depending on your parameters and how you prefer to dose.

I'm running zeomag in my reactor, but i find that if I go too long between water changes, I will manually dose mag. But it's not a weekly thing. |

Looks to me like trace supplementation is the way to go. I think a,b,c probably wise choice. If you like more control, option 3.

I am currently using 200ml per day on my 120 gallon all sps tank. So if a mature tank, somewhere around 1/2 I suppose

I have a 275 which I am just starting to add coral to. Currently I have 3 hard coral frags and will add more in time. I am using the bacteria products and looking at the most cost effective way of dosing Calcium Alk and Mag? I suspect I will not be dosing alot to start. I have a 3 head doser to use... What do you recommend? I dose nothing at the moment as just adding coral as it was fish only before.

OK,
The component system would be great for this size of a tank. Good thing is that mineral and trace are all covered in the 3 dosing 5L jugs Cheers!

Can you dose parts 1&3 at the same time? I only have 2 relayed plugs on my apex and have found that the brs 1.1ml pumps have to be on the relayed ports or they keep running. I was thinking I could put parts 1 and 3 on one plug and part 2 on the second. Would this work?
