Those are the answers I was looking for! Thanks Luke!

The pipe that comes into the T from the top is angled at a 45. Are you saying I can adjust that pipe to "tune" the skimmer?

Yea, the pipe that goes into the t should be cut at an angle. You just turn it to adjust it.

First, the exit pipe is not high enough to get over the rim of my sump. Can I just plumb it to go over or do I need to raise the skimmer?

Second, does anyone know how to adjust the water level on these skimmers?

Third, the nipple for the water input appears to just sit in the coupling. Am I supposed to glue this in?

Thanks,
Ben
#1. I would raise it up.
#2. You see the riser pipe that has a 45 degree angle cut on it? You turn that pipe to raise the water level, it says open and closed on it.
#3. I glued it in with pvc glue.

ya it was loose. I don't really get it either, it doesn't mention anything about it in the directions, so I just glued it. I can't see what it hurts by gluing it in place.

Sorry for the hijack guys. I got my skimmer installed last night. I built a stand and did the plumbing. Still breaking in, but seems to be working well...

Thanks for the help!

Hi, I just got my EXT-PS-120 last night and put it together. The instructions here are very helpful. I guessed at all of the above but wasn't certain I made the right choices. The PS120 will replace an odyssea PS160 (I know) that has never worked well.

I'm installing it tonight. Thanks!

Took about a week for mine to get broken in. It's just now starting to pull some good skimmate.

Mine is in and building a foam in the body at just two days. I'm hoping that's not a comment on the state of my tank water. Nothing in the cup yet though.

I ended up rebuilding my drain to split the water three ways: the two lower outlets go to my skimmer and refugium while the higher "overflow" drains the remainder into the sump. With all of the twists and turns it gets pretty loud and frothed so I implemented a reverse durso to make it quieter.

I'm very happy so far!
