Do you have a calcium reactor on the tank, or is calcium and alk just maintained from water changes?

No calcium reactor, kalk reactor or any additives.
Just do water change 15% every two week.

Incredible tank! I enjoyed reading this thread as well as the build. It is also interesting to read that you do not have a calcium/kalc reactor. What type of equipment do you have in addition to the skimmer? I keep my reef simple (mostly due to budget) and this is simply inspiring, keep up the great work!!

Nice tank. Where is it located? I like the idea of a club tank, so how is it shared with others and whom all can see it?

Thanks for your kind words.
This tank is in the club which is close to many LFS.
There are so many reefkeepers and newbies visiting our club.
That's why we want to set up a very simple system to show them.
We only have one skimmer and refugium. We don't add any additive or trace element. Only DT's oyster egg are fed every other day. That's it.

Very beautiful tank. I have the Solaris I series, but after seeing this I am strongly considering adding a VHO to bring out some more of that red tone. Any reason you went VHO and not T5?

Also water clarity is stunning. Do you attribute that more to the skimmer, miracle mud, or are you running some mechanical filtration besides the sock as well?

Also, what web cam are you using? Does it require you to have your computer on or will it work wirelessly through the router/internet?

Our club is in Jatujak market, Bangkok.
When passers-by see our tank, they would love to come in and ask for more information.
That is our commitment to share the correct way of keeping Marine Aquarium.

The reason we use VHO is they provide more watts than T5.
We do run carbon (TLF) in the sump and monthly change it.

The camera is connnected with computer. It is old model.

May I ask who makes the VHO fixture you are using? Do you keep it in front or behind the solaris?

Interesting. I think I'm gonna have to try this with my Solaris. Thank you very much for the info. Is there a canopy covering the entire top?

Sorry I missed this post.
The combination of Solaris and VHO makes the tank so vibrant.
It does look much better in person.

I have the same experience.
Sometimes it works, sometimes don't.
The server is so congested. I guess.
But it is free of charge.
