It's actually 1 boostled par30, tank is 18 inches x 18 inches x 18 inches. But my rockwork only goes 12 inches across so the single par30 is more than enough, although I will be upgrading to the aqua illuminations sol nano.

Here it is with the sol nano, this is at 20% for all 3 colors. I think I'm ready for some coral, if only the closest LFS was not 2 hours away.

it might be cool to have an encrusting monti or something similar on the glass that will take over that blown area and make a cool transition to the sand bed!

Thats a great idea, but for now I put the sand back and turned down the vortech to about 60%, so far so good.

Here's some pictures underneath the stand.

Sump and all equipment.

Vortech control mounted.

AI and AC Jr.

Left side, the best I could do with all the wires.

Right side.

Sorry if I missed the answer to this earlier in the thread but what size tank are you using for a sump and what skimmer? Setup looks great BTW. Can't wait to see it progress further.

Sump is a 10 gallon, skimmer is reef octopus NW110. I'm thinking about trying an sc65 skimmer.

There's somebody on here, but I can't find the thread, with a sol nano over that same tank, they got enough coverage. They had to make a custom mount and suspend it about 12 inches above .

I have it over my 7.5 and looking into a better way of putting it over my tank. I love the set up and can't wait to see what you put in it.

Ok, question about mr.aqua quality read some reviews on tank quality not being that good on some tanks. It look likes it was hit or miss. I would like to know your opinion on the tank quality. Thanks

Since this is the only mr aqua tank i have owned, my opinion is subjective. But my personal tank itself is of hight quality compared to any tank I have ever owned. The silicone is neat and the glass has nice beveled cut edges.

Do you have anything for a cover or are you not worried about jumpers?
Do you have an ATO and how much evaporation do you have daily?
And did you drill said tank or is that a HOB unit?

I don't have a cover and I do worry about jumpers, but it has not been a problem yet. I use a JBJ ATO and go through about 1/2 gallon a day. My tank is drilled with a gl*******s.com overflow
