Clove polyps. They love swaying in the currents. Pretty cool yellow/green variant. Above them you can see the two SPS colonies that came with the live rock. On the left top, a keyhole limpet. Fuzzy mushroom seems happy. Blue mushroom less happy but surviving. Brittle starfish. Spotted for the first time today. Keyhole limpet and SPS colonies. More snail eggs. Peppermint shrimp! The brine shrimp feeding brought the guy out of hiding. Usually a complete recluse. The shrimp again. Not hiding well. Urchins! One large, one small. |

Looking good Jay! I love the mushrooms I think those are so cool. How do they stand up to a beginner?

They're rugged. Great starter coral.

Skimmate from the "worthless" BioCube skimmer that people said wouldn't work. Decent $40 gamble. Happy peppermint shrimp. FTS! I need some blues and greens. |

What do you think a good lighting cycle would be for these lights? Think I'll prolly stick with the stock lights or add a third one until I notice any issues. For some reason I think the moon lights are brighter than a moon light and dont want to add to much light by running them too long.
I need to start a thread on mine but camera phone (galaxy note) takes forever to email pics for uploading. Should have stuck with iphone! |

My "Moonlights" are on from 6:30a to 10:30p. "Daylights" from 9-8:45.
Does anyone know the size of the tubing in the back? Getting ready to switch to separate pumps on the returns, and need to know. Thanks! |

I don't know the size of the tubing, would probably be on the spec sheets on the IM site...
As far as my lighting, I run a later sort of household, so my main lights are on from 11a-10p and my moonlights are on 8a-12a |

Could you post a pic of the skimmer. I'd like to see where it is and how much space it takes up.

I'll try to remember to when I get back in town it fits PERFECTLY attached to the side chamber with suction cups, with the body of the skimmer in the center chamber.

Added a second return pump to mine. Stock 210GPH is going through a spin stream, and a second 80GPH is going through the other. 210 shuts off from 11PM to 5AM to allow the tank to calm down a bit at night.

Awsome setup Jay. I just got a Micro 30 going and love the tank was going to get a 16, but I wanted to go a little bigger. I will try and start my tank thread soon. I think my LR looks a lot like yours and I got a lot of the same hitch-hikers.
