I have alot of live rock and skim very wet, I dont have algae growing, so I guess my water just really low in nutrients.

I have just got a bag of cheato from my LFS. It come with all sorts of living organism in it. Previously my fishes got ick from them. This time, I am quarantining them for a month before introducing to the sump. However I still worry about the living stuffs in the chaeto as i read some pods maybe parasitic.. Any opinions?

Definitely a good thing! Just get out the pruning shears. I have some that I have under a cheap clip on lamp with a CF daylight bulb from Home Depot, and it has grown quickly as well to the point where I'm going to be pruning this weekend.
