What's the gallonage on the tank? A little over 120 gallons?

Nice layout. Looks like it will be a very solid reef!

I've also always been a huge fan of the cube tanks, although yours is not in the strictest sense a cube. Two similar measurements in different axes make it sweet.

Peace,
John H.

Rufio, it's roughly 140 gal. (that's what it's listed as on glasscages). It's 'cube-ish'.

Is that glass bracing on the bottom of the tank?

What is the internal bracing for? There isn't a lot of pressure pushing in on the sides of the tank.

I think they do this because the walls of the tank sit on top of the bottom glass, not like AGA where the bottom is raised up a bit.

The transfer went well and everything is in, except for about 117lbs. of LR.

I have to figure out something for the drain as it's dumping a ton of microbubbles which are making there way back to the tank. Need to pretty up the wires and figure out how to mount my ATO unit.

Here's a couple of rough pics:

Got the Kalk reactor and LM III mounted

And the dual stage temp. controller

Here are a few more shots, all thats left to do is glue down all the zoo frags that are setting in the sand. The tank is not as dark as the pictures make it out to be. We did have one big loss, my sunburst anthias didn't make it in the holding tank he will be missed.

Wow, I must have been under a rock... I missed the transfer pics!
Everything looks great! How's that skimmer performing?

So far, so good. When everything was in the stock tank (with dirty water), it was pulling out lots of crud.

It has slowed now with the new tank (new, fresh, sparkly clean water), but is still pulling out sludge, just not as much. Plus, i'm running a filter sock on the drain until I can figure out a way to keep the bubbles from the drain to a bare minimum, so that trapping alot of crud too that the skimmer isn't getting.

Thanks guys.

Shullat, there is a single 250w Radium on the tank. The pics are probably a little bluier than in person.

That is a really nice looking setup.
Now that you have the tank on the stand, water in it and the canopy on how do you like the Glasscages tank itself?

We really like the tank. It's built solid and the areas where the silicone is a little sloppy are covered by the stand and canopy. We only had one hole drilled, so nothing was messed up there. It has turned out to be a great value and experience for us.

I picked up one also. Don't suppose you have a slick way to label the front? Lights, powerhead, pump 1, pump 2, etc?
