reefer madness is the coolest place to go and purchase corals. They have 3 large holding tank for sps and 1 for lps. Chris is a cool guy and about the photo I was there when they took picture to upload to the internet. What you see is what you got Chris has a 2x4 area to take picture and after that he will upload to the web. I'm lucky to live about 20 min away from him so every friday I will stop by and check out the new shipment. He always give you advice regarding which one is easy or hard to keep. And always free frag with purchase....:-)

Omigosh! I'd be in the coral looney bin for sure! The only thing saving my marriage is that RM's 3000 miles away.

I wouldn't do very well in the 12 step program...I think the first step is admitting you have a problem...I can't admitt that, LOL

i have a hd lcd monitor on my computer 1600dpi better than any tv and i can definety tell there is some photoshoping done imho everyone does it tough.. but i think any one who runs a website and uses that much visuall content and isnt editing on a very good LCD should be sent to iran to get the pics right you need to have a good screen mine is 30 inches made by apple i would roccomend buyin at least an imac24inch or a 23inch apple cinema display and a new mac pro. it will run windows better than any genaric pc and is beutiffull to run also anyone who deals with lots of photos is not doing themselves a favor with a PC you need apples OSX and Iphoto its seems you have a good camera now go buy a MAC im serious do it now .. now stop reading this go go go now stop reading stand up and go get a mac or you will be sorry

Sorry but a mac is not going to solve ANYONE's issues. Unless you have the same dumb issues as their lame commercials.

update on the Purple Limeade it is doing just fine but some of the color was lost due to stress in shipping but the color is starting to come back. I have found that A. nasuta will change color because of stress and will get stress out vary easy. I will post some pic soon.
Matt

Wow that's my coral... Sorry I didn't catch this thread sooner. The coral actually looks closer to the second picture on the thread above. Definitely a good looking coral. Although it may look better under 400w 20k (I use 250w 14k with actinic t5 sups) so there is definitely a color difference because of my lighting. The coral has been acclimating well and I have had it on the bottom portion of my tank, with the intention of moving it up slowly over the next few months. The coral had come off the base in shipping, but it didn't seem to affect it too much. As with all new coral in a tank it will probably gain more color as it acclimates to my system. Also, I will be moving this piece along with others to a new 36x36x18 system with 2 400w 20k lights some time in the next 6mos.

we photoshop them to take out the blue. WE ARE NOT ADDING COLOR!
but with 20Ks and actinics, it *should* have a blue appearance. by taking out the blue, you are converting what our brains would interpret as fluorescence into color. for example, take an actinic shot of green star polyps. it'll be bright green, but it will look 'natural' and expected given the rest of the pic being obviously blue. then photoshop out the blue. you will be left with a pic of what looks like the greenest, brightest GSP in the world, because without the blue cast to let our brains know it's just fluorescence, we will see what we think is real color.

I am very busy pulling orders, but I can promise you that I will address your comment, manderx. I am afraid that I disagree with you, but I do so respectfully.

Stay tuned for some pictures of actinic star polyps

Here are a couple of pictures of my nasuta I got from RM at the same time as the other. It was the smaller one with not quite as much color, but it is coloring up and doing great. I'm very happy with it.

It's been a couple of weeks now. I will update in a couple of more.
