Right now the water is good, everyone's happy and the tank is cleaner than it's ever been, I guess I should quit while I'm ahead.
The only fish I've lost are chromis, from reading the last few post I guess that's normal, are they killing each other?

- 55 Gallon 48" x 12" x 20"
- 50-60lb's of purple coralline reef rock.
- 3-4 inch Sand Bed
- Reef Octopus in sump Skimmer. (20 gallon Sump)
- Lots of crevices and a few caves, couple shelfs. Generally eye appealing with lots of hiding spaces basically.

FISH:
2x Clownfish (Percula or Occelaris)
1x Blue Chromis (Will become one)
1x Yellow Watchman Goby
2x Banggai Cardinal Fish (M/F, Tank Bred)
1x Firefish (Nemateleotris Mb agnifica)
1x Yellow Midas Blenny

Can I add a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse last?

INVERTS
1x Rose Bubbletip Anemone (introduced with Clowns later after mature tank.)
3x Emerald Crabs
10x Nassarius Snails
10x Cerith Snails hermits or snails but not both as hermits kill snails for their shells
2x Boxing/Pom Pom Crabs
1x Candy Stripe Pistol Shrimp (To go with Watchman)
1x Red Sea Star (Fromia milleporella) will starve What would I have to remove to make it not starve. Gotta weigh my options here..

Side note: There is a 30 gallon connected to the same tank that houses a crusher mantis shrimp. I can "trash" any CUC I need to without much effort and it goes to a good cause... I'll be adding CUC as I need to them feed the mantis (hence the emerald crabs & snails). I would love your input on the invert CUC portion.

Soft Corals down the line, maybe frogspawn or something but no heavy coral load.

180 gallon 72"x24"x25"
Not yet set up
Reef (LPS & a few clams)
I plan on having a mixture of invertebrates

(ordered by when I plan on adding them)

Mated pair Black & White Ocellaris Clowns (will they take up too much real estate paired?)

Midas Blenny

Linespot Flasher Wrasse

McCosker's Flasher Wrasse

Yellowhead Jawfish

3 Lyretail Anthias (1 male & 2 female) (Will they compete with dragonets for Copepods?)

Orchid Dottyback (tank bred)

Green Mandarin (after 7-8 months)

Ruby Red Dragonet

Blue Tang

Powder Brown Tang (should I choose 1 tang, or can they coexist in a 6ft?)

Thanks for your time

Thank you.
Before you think about adding any fish, you would need to remove the blue tang and the damsels

well fed is always good, but since dwarf angels feed constantly, it will not keep corals safe.

Can I add a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse last? no, not really. They are very active and your tank size is on the small side; may also intimidate yor firefish

1x Red Sea Star (Fromia milleporella) will starve What would I have to remove to make it not starve. Gotta weigh my options here.. your tank is not large enough or mature enough to sustain this animal. However this thread is really only about marine fish compatibility

Blue Tang really needs an 8 foot tank, especially if adding another tang

Powder Brown Tang (should I choose 1 tang, or can they coexist in a 6ft?) 8 foot is better, 6 foot is marginal for two tangs, especially if one is P. hepatus

Thanks for your time
always a pleasure and check back with any questions.

Something very smart that I read once. A fishes individual personality plays into it too. Docile fish have been aggressive and aggressive fish have been docile. Thank you for the warning and advice. I'll keep a close eye on him when I get him and see what he does. If he eats my coral I'll take him back to the lfs. I just have to hope I get a good one. Lol

Looking at yellow coris wrasse or solarius wrasse either would compete with your leopard wrasse

Would love to fit yellow tang no way with an existing tang, but even without, needs a longer tank

Thoughts?

either is behaviorally compatible; however the firefish may be intimidated. Biggest risk are the damsels which may not allow additions.

No problem. Hermits will kill the snails, however.

Thanks. So far, the hermits have been leaving the snails alone. I have two margaritas which are fairly large, and 5 nassarius which are always buried. The hermits are tiny (maybe the size of a pea)

Im sure you are right. I wont restock the crabs once the algae bloom is under control. If they get too big, I guess they can live in the fuge or go back to the lfs. out of 7, I can only find 3 alive.

Tell me about Randall's Assessor basslet for 37g

Two spot goby, helfrichi firefish, 2 ocellaris and tanakas Pygmy wrasse all in so far

Was going to do a black axil chromis for last fish but love this guy. Would it work?

Unfortunately, the two spot goby will not work long term; however the Assessor basslet will.

Thank you. . Two spot (gobster as I call him) has luckily taken to my adding some prepared meaty bits to the sand he sifts. So far so good, and I enjoy feeding him.

Sorry Snorvich, Im shopping around.

What if I changed the Goby for a Longnose Hawkfish?
2 occ clowns
1 royal gramma
1 green clown goby
1 lawnmower blenny

I figuring the blenny will clean algae, the hawkfish and gramma will be active, and the clowns will hang together

It would work, but they are not shrimp or small fish safe

Sorry, but I do not provide analysis on aggressive fish tanks. However we have an Aggressive fish forum where many answers will be available.
