I want an IT2080 in the 32" length and I got a quote from EG of $398.00 delivered. I'm wondering if a US imported/dist. like Reef Breeders or AJM Reef LED can get them at a better price because they do volume buying and if they might pass some of that savings on to the customer if they do a large purchase or even a group buy? Has anybody asked Reef Breeders about pricing on a group buy of say 15 fixtures (mix of D120 and IT2080)shipped to one location?

Shipping is about $140 to Canada. I actually order one 2080 and one 2040. so that along is about 80 bucks.

I had a same day response from them yesterday.

They got back to me, and after that first delay they where very fast in responding. I bought the programable fixture, now just sitting back waiting on it to get here. but all I wanna do is spend more money...

And to Hazard I hope they are paying you over there

If I was paid I wouldn't be allowed here, lol. I do it for fun, because there is so little info on leds in general, and not enough long term experiences from people to go by. I also do it because most commercial fixtures are way too expensive for what they are. I shouldn't have to pay more than my entire tank costs for its lighting.

You learn along the way, experiment, and make adjustments until you're happy.

well thanks for all the information, you were a big help in me finding a good lighting system. 300 feels like a lot of money, but what I got for that 300 seems to make it well worth it. Hope it gets here soon!

One quick question.

I run a 44 pentagon,(odd right) how hight should I hang it. could i put it right onto the glass top, and run the dimmers at 40%? or should I just hang it, and how far from the tank?

IT 2040, but from reefbreeders, so the "programable LED fixture."

Hang it 6" or more above it.

300 is good for what you get. You would be hard pressed to make your own light with a built in controller, remote control, adjustable/tiltable hanging kit and moonlights for less money.

Why did you go with two 24" itseries, and not wait for the36' to come out? Which is suppose to cover a 48" in tank. Just curious, im setting up a 120 as we speak.

Gotcha. I was thinking 48" 120. Which is what I have. Im waiting for the 36" it series to come out. Reefbreeders advised another week or so.

the 36'' is supposed to cover a 48'' tank? I have a 75 gallon tank, I am interested in seeing if this would cover it

I am confused!

Travis,
How well do you think the IT2060 will do over 3'? I was planing on getting 2 of the IT2080 (32") for my 6' long 180g. Do you think 2 of the IT2060 (24") would cover it?

Hey guys. So I have had my D120 custom from evergrow for about a week now. The whites just stopped working tonight. I tried switching the wires around to see if it was a wire plug or something but that didn't fix it. Anyone have any suggestions?
