Please can you have a look at my updated intended fish list?
120 US gallon 5' tank with sump and refugium. I plan to introduce these fish slowly in something like the order shown below, obviously I'm aware of the feeding issues with the mandarins and CBB! Eventual plans for the tank is a PEACEFUL reef tank! 1 purple firefish 1 royal gramma 1 tailspot blenny 1 Chromis - you said before about disease issues, not sure if this applies to the UK too? Pair of flasher wrasse Pair of perc. clownfish 1 midas blenny - unsure about this with the other fish I'm thinking of 1 one spot fox face - I'm a bit unsure about this one, worried about potential aggression/ eating corals Pair of mandarins 1 Copperband butterfly 1 female wantanabei angel 1 yellow eye kole tang Many thanks for your help, it's much appreciated! |

Thanks for your comments. There will be a 1/4 inch mesh top and I can
feed the fish on whatever schedule is appropriate. I had come up with a second list: Salarias fasciatus Cirrhilabrus lubbocki Wetmorella tanakai Gobiodon okinawae Paracheilinus mccoskeri Ecsenius midas Fowleria flammea Synchiropus splendidus (after 1 year) Nemanthias carberryi x 4 - 5 (after 9 months) If that is not too many Anthias, should I split the tank transfer among 2 sets of 20 gallon tanks? Also, after the tank transfer method is complete, would it be best to house them in the same tank for the rest of the quarantine period? Lastly, might the Anthias out compete the Mandarin for copepods? Thanks again for your consideration.

I have a 35G cube with 40B sump, total system volume is 50 gallons. Currently have 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 molly, 1 emerald crab, various snails, no hermits. Thinking of adding a tiger pistol shrimp and from what I have heard it is not likely the lawnmower blenny will pair up with him. Was thinking of a yellow watchman goby to pair with the shrimp but not sure how the blenny and the goby will get along. Do you think the blenny will pair up with the goby or would their be hostilities? Thanks.

Upgrading from a 60 cube to a 30x30x30 116.9 gallon tank. Will have plenty of LR and will use some water from my 60 to help get the cycle going.
I currently have: 2 Black and White Clowns 1 YWG w/ Pistol Shrimp 1 Sixline Wrasse 1 Coral Beauty Angel Not wanting all but these are some fish im interested in adding: 1 of the following tangs Kole Yellow Eye Tang Bristletooth Tomini Tang Two Spot Bristletooth Tang Yellow Wrasse Starry Blenny Squareback Anthias (Possibly a small group? 3?) This tank will be set up and sit for a little while before transferring. Then I will add the fish that are decided upon slowly. Let me know what you think. Thank you. |

Well, im not 100% attached to the Sixline. Would it be a good idea to trade it in when i do the transfer?
Whats the reason for the Starry Blenny being a pain? If its a bully I dont want to cause any unnecessary drama in the tank. |

Snorvich -- Do you mind expanding on why Starry Blennies can be pains?

I have a Nuvo 38 with a pair of Ocellaris clowns, a Yasha Goby with a Randall's pistol shrimp, and a purple firefish. I am considering adding a Helfrichi firefish, but I have heard mixed things about adding it to the tank with the purple firefish already established. Do you think the two firefishes would be okay together (even though they are not being added at the same time)?

I currently have a juwel rio 125 set up for tropical fish and I want to convert it to marine. To do this I plan to remove the juwel filter box add 15kg of live rock, a juwel skimmer, marine lighting and a few power heads (keeping the juwel heater I have currently). Anything missing?
Once my tank is set up I would like to keep a pair of clowns, a tang and a few shrimp snails etc. Obviously I would hope to keep more than this. I have heard of gobies and shrimp teaming up? Is this just specific species of goby and shrimp? Does anyone have any suggestions of other fish to go with this stock? Will possibly keep soft corals to Sorry for long post, want to make sure I get this right

Yeah I was surprised for it to be so low. Not cool. I think the nepthia would make it but it would really stress it. I'm drip acclimating the fish like I used to do. In an hours time I will bring it up from 1.016 to 1.020. I hope everyone will be okay with it.
