I had the pleasure of seeing a Mitras in person at my LFS two days ago. It was the first time I saw the Mitras and was pleasantly surprised. I've seen Sols, Radions etc, but this was different.
It was so much like Metal Halide it was unbelievable. Also, I couldnt see dancing colours on the sand either. The colour mix is excellent. If anyone is seriously considering swapping over to full LED, go see one in person. |

Aaron, where in the UK do you live? Dont need to be too specific...I would love to see your tank in person. I live in Central London. I saw the Mitras at H20 recently, but Jon wasnt there, so I couldnt see any of the individual channel settings etc.

Hi
the spread is 36x36 so you are just on the edge of two, 3 gives better effects for example rolling cloud cover but two would do the job.

i have three on a 53 inch by 32.. 26 high.. a little overkill, i know.. they are currently running at about 60%- high efficiency. i will bump it up a little, however.. acclimating a few new sps.. i find that the extra point sources of light give less shadowing.. michael, how long is that beautiful tank built into the white wall unit? its running four...

Just realized, the Mitras has no day saving time function! Hope this will be fixed with the wireless connection to the ProfiLux.
By the way the PLM-PWC is over due. Have ordered and payed mine a week ago, but GHL hasn't even released it until now.

GHL would not be checking this forum so I would suggest posting here your suggestions for updates www.profiluxsupport.com

Was just an statement.
I'm pretty confident that Mathias is checking this thread frequently. ;-) Anyway, I will follow your suggestion and post in the German forum.

This is the only LED system that has my interest. I've seen just about every other high end LED system there is and none of them have ever wow'ed me.
