Yeah bro these lights are not gonna work for your tank, even if you ran 6. That's a big deep tank. I do not recommend the chinese boxes on anything over 24" deep.
I would DIY LED on a tank that size, that's gonna be your only option, or spend some real money on higher quality commercial boxes - which in that case just keep the MH... Look into DIY perhaps ![]()

![]() They key is making sure you have enough and nothing deeper than 24" So 4' 24" deep = 2 lights 6' 24" deep = 3 lights etc

Depending on the ballast, bulb, and reflector, these black boxes can be close to, or higher par, than a 250 watt MH. For those needing something equivalant to 400 watt MH, they do make these boxes with more power/leds.

How deep is your tank, and do you have the 120w 14k version? If so do they seem too blue to you?

first off they are ysing 144 LEDs to produce 300 Watts. That basicly means each led is 2.08 Watts each. Then they are stating that they are running at 300 ma. For a LED to produce 2.08 watts of light at 300 ma it would need roughly 7 volts per LED. I do not know of a manufacturer that makes a LED that comes even close to specs like that. Creee does have high voltage line XT-E-HV but they run at a max of 66ma and 60 volts producing almost 4 Watts.

go with the 14k (50/50). the 20k will be to blue
here are 3 pics from my tank of the 14ks - white only, blue only, then both also I highly recommend 3 of these lights on your 120g. not sure if 2 will do the job. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Same light, 7% off for 3 of them. I am not so sure you need to dim these lights though. Nice feature and all, but I think its not needed, unless your running them in a very shallow tank.
