Thanks reefmutt! Thanks AQD Ottowa! So one unit will do my 36x18x24 tank with no problems? Any Par graphs I can look at? Does that 999.00 include shipping as well?

Thank you

shipping is $24.00 due to the very low price and already $200 off MAP I think thats fair

Yes this is a German built product it has a two year warranty (although knowing GHL history of building bullet poof products its a mute point ) and yes it comes with a high quality hanging kit.

If anything did ever go wrong the unit is self repair also, which is awesome, no real down time. But we have never really had that issue.

I just thought I'll share this information with you but not in intend to put Matthias in more pressure.

Yesterday he replied on my inpatient post in the German forum that they probably start shipping the PLM-PWC on 4. November.

They probably underestimated the time consuming work on the software.
For functionality of the PWC they had to work on new versions of following:

Mitras FW
ProfiLux FW
PC SW PLC
Mitras CC

Matthias wrote this will be done in two weeks from now. But we should accept if it finally takes a bit longer. To redo all SW must be a PITA!

Thumbs up for the hard work.

One should also take in consideration that GHL is really hard working on other products.

They just released the Mitras Light-bar!!!!!

I will definitely have one for my fragtank! ;-))

AQD ottawa, will the light bar be discussed here also, or there will be a new thread?

You shouldn't think of the 6100/6200 as old vs new version! Ok the 6100 came out earlier but the differences are there to fit the different taste in EU and US. Both are for reefing!
Here in the EU we like it more natural, not so blue.

Hay, not saying so we like hairy women over here! Ok?! :-))

Sorry, the humor is different here two...

Montyjack, you are correct!

No matter how you groom it, the Mitras is a beautiful thing

Sorry I didn't saw this. As I was aware of, the GHL products have been available almost simultaneously on all continents. May be one week plus minus or so, except the Mitras, that was a bit longer doo to the big demand. I'm mistaken?

Nevertheless Americans can order from EU online shops if they don't mind the shipping. ;-)) sorry AQD_ottawa ;-))

By the way, is ordering something from the EU the same PITA like if we from the EU order in the US?
We pay the price (including VAT) shipping (of course) and EU import tax (up to 10%) and VAT (in CZ 21%)

I was wondering how far apart the pucks are spaced from left to right. This is important as I have a center brace on my acrylic tank top. It should not be a problem but I would like to know.
Also, where can I order the light for 999.00 ?

Thank you

When I was looking for lights about a year ago, I liked the pacific sun and was impressed but I heard bad things about the quaity control and I thought about shipping it back, if there were issues..
(Take that with a grain of salt as it is in the Mitras thread..)
The Mitras does have a program loaded into it. Programming is actually quite simple.. Once you've played with it a little. This is coming from a guy who is a computer idiot. After a few heated midnight email exchanges with Michael, I finally got comfortable and now have no problems programming the lights.
There are several utube videos explaining it..
I'm sure Michael will have links..
Also, keep in mind that the mitras are owner serviceable so if there were an issue (I don't think these lights have any issues) you could fix it yourself..

Th width of the two pucks is just under 6 1/4 inches. There is about a 2 1/4 inch space between the pucks which are 1 7/8 inch wide each.
Michael will have to answer your second question..

Matt,
Thank you for measuring for me. Thank you very much! Here is a pic of my 65 gallon acrylic tank top. I think it should be fine, but would like your opinion as I cannot find one in my area (Southern California) to go look at in person.
My tank is 36x18x24 deep. Here is the tank top pic.

its 4" wide at the narrowest, and 14" wide in the back. Do you think it will be ok, or should I drill holes? I hate to have to do that.

Thanks

If you hang the Mitras parallel to the tank, you should be fine.
You'll have to keep that centre brace clean but really, what choice do you have?
One Mitras will cover the tank pretty nicely, I think
I really don't know about drilling holes... Not sure it will help much..

Mitras 6100HV Project

Here is the latest project I am trying for my Mitras 6100HV.

https://db.tt/SqJ3ySX2

Would some of the more seasoned Mitras users be willing to review it and let me know your thoughts?

I am running it on a 60 cube on High Output mode at %75. I am running clouds every 30 seconds with a max dimming of %20 to acclimate everything in my tank. Thanks for the idea reefmutt!!! I think I will run clouds every time I add new corals to the tank and gradually decrease the dimming over time, at least until GHL adds the acclimation function to the firmware

My Mitras is 12" off the water and I am also running (4) 24w T5s with it to smooth everything out. They are 2 ATI Blue+ and 2 Giesemann Pure Actinic.

I appreciate any feedback and thanks!

Don

Michael,
PWC is not suported by EB. thats what Matthias have told me, cause i have the same issue. no more slots left. he told me that PWC can only work from controler. i will transfer PH card to EB to free up slot for PWC
