I would not mix a foxface with a rabbitfish, and in a six foot tank, having that number of algae grazers may be problematic since foxface and rabbitfish will munch on some types of coral if hungry. A Lieutenant Tang should work fine in this sized tank, but introduce last.

Thanks Steve. I will scratch one of them! Do you think a Blue Hippo Tang would work with that mix?

In my opinion, no. As they mature, they get ornery and you only have a six foot tank which is not the best for ornery fish. Longer tanks diffuse aggression especially with fish occupying the same ecological niche.

Hi Snorvich, would a Kole tang and a lawnmower blenny in a 75g work? There'd be a few other smaller fish as well, but no algae eaters

marginally ok. I would supplement with Nori.

Excellent, that was my plan anyway, so that's good news. It's cool you do this for people. Thanks Steve.

As the only animal, it should be fine. However I do not provide analysis of aggressive community tanks. Those questions would best be posted here. However, be aware that eels are escape artists and keeping them in is not a trivial consideration.

Looking to add a Mandarin aswell. My concern is I have a scooter blenny and a diamond goby. Will this make too much competition for pods? I do have a refugium.

90g tank
Other fish are
2 Pajama Cardinals
1 yellow tang
Solar Wrasse
2 clowns
Foxface
Damsel

Thanks for you help in advance

I have a 24 gallon tank. It has been running for a little over 7 months. I have a pair of snowflake clowns that have been in the tank for over a month. I was wondering if I could add a lawnmower blenny to the mix.

It is risky. You have one copepod grazer and several that also occasionally eat copepods. I would not.

Hi,

Thinking of buying a Red Sea Max c130 which is 34 gallons including the rear sump. Tank will have live rock and softies plus a few LPS.

Current stocking ideas are:

Pair of clowns (would appreciate advice on most suitable species)
A Bicolour Blenny
A Spangled Shrimp goby (with associated shrimp)
A Fireball Dwarf angel (or other dwarf angel species if more suitable)

Thanks

Paul

Sorry,

Just noted that you don't provide recommendations so please assume clowns will be Ocellaris.

3 yello watchmen, only one unless a bonded pair
2 yellow tail Damsils,
a Kole tang ,
1 wormfish.
Fires shrimp,
3 ceaners only two since a male female will work, but more will not
some snails and softies.

Thanks so much

Looking to start stocking my 65, I currently have a pair of occ clowns a few snails and a couple hermits. I am leaning towards a one spot fox face as my main fish. What else could I get in there?
