Yes you saw the video for the red LED modules that are now available. They are incremental to the other arrays - not swap out. They mount directly to the heat sink between pairs of the other arrays.

As you can see - your spectrum reading is looking like their other panels - CRP:

This panel is build only with Royal Blue and White - and work on 100% each panel also - as I see(CCT 18KK - 100% for both? Im not sure..)

Let see their other spectrum reading - for all lamps under diffrent settings..

Hey Bellagio,
Do you happen to have any spectrometer readings for any other brand LEDs? Specifically those that we have been discussing in this thread.

Just spoke to Jeremy at PA and he said they should have the red/violet panels in the next couple of weeks.

I dont think u can change every led on the mazarra to to 5 watt. To my knowledge each led mus t be replaced with the correct one acording to power draw/supply to that led location. Am I wrong about this?

That is not what I was told, however I am not saying you are wrong.

New Vertex arrives on Friday! What are recommendations for intensity to start at? I've read somewhere between 30% and 50%. Sound about right?

Hi,
Im sorry - It wasnt my special goal to change main topic to other.
Im using MH lamp with T5 - but within few months I will have to upgrade my lights to this kind of lighting.
Im reading many articles about that - and when I saw this spectrometer reading(from Vertex) - I compared it to other - which is also taken from lamp with RB and B leds.

I did not intend to offend anyone - or to change the main topic.
It seemed to me that my statement is associated with Vertex lamps.
Perhaps I was wrong.

It is a fact - that these two graphs are very different - as if the lamps were not Vertex Blue LEDs (only Royal Blue).
Thats all.

Vertex 24" 260's should be arriving today! Excited to get them setup. Will take some pics. What are recommendations on what to start them at? 30% to 50%?

I purchased two PR156W's for 1500 bucks for my 72" long tank.

It would have cost me 4500 bucks for the Vertex.

I've seen both and think the Orphek has a better color (for me)

Wish they had all the bells and whistles like the Vertex

But of those I have seen which include the AI, Orphek has such a nice color.

In my situation with a 72" long tank and the look I was going for Orphek was within budget, had the best color, yet lacked custom settings.

I can't get a good pic with the LED's on, but it is definitely a bit different look. Right now I have all lights at 50%. I get great coverage, but the white is definitely not as clean as the T5's....

Just an update - I had to modify my canopy, but have the fixture fully installed now. I wasn't waiting long enough at first for the ramp up time. This fixture is awesome! The colors are intense, the white is just as good as my T5's were, and the coverage is complete. I've seen quite a few other LED setups and am very impressed with the Vertex! I wish I could figure out how to snap pictures, but can't seem to get it right.

Thanks for all the information and recommendations! Cheers!

No red led's at this time. I'd like to wait for the multi-color boards if I can. $85 a pop is not that bad of a price for an upgrade as I only see myself needing 2 minimum. I'll try to start a build thread this weekend.. but I still haven't figured out where a 67 gallon display with a 30 gallon sump fits on this forum.

I'll add pics throughout the day. Wish I knew how to take pics - everything gets washed out and colors don't show very well. Pic 1 is straight moonlights, Pics 2-4 are just as blues are coming on, no whites yet.

agreed.. still haven't played with the camera's settings to figure out how to white balance everything so it doesn't look so blue. 10x more blue in a picture I take then what it looks like to the naked eye.

Day Time Pics

Wish I knew how to take pics... All colors are washed out. Overall I am very happy with the Vertex. Coverage is complete, there is a little bit of shadowing, but nothing extreme.

What are recommendations on getting corals acclimated to the new lights? I've had the 24" 260 on my 60g for 2 weeks now. I had the white at 40% and blue at 50% for the first 2 weeks. Just ramped blues up to 65% and white to 50% today. So far everything is looking great, but not sure what is recommended here.... Suggestions? Thanks!
