The DC2 is even more impressive, with an 8 in body and 2400 lph of air draw. I am less impressed with the DC 3 with the inch larger body diameter ( and probably a proportionately larger neck ) with the same pump as the DC2. Considering the problems that RE had with their line of controllable skimmers, I'm interested in seeing long term pump life results.
The BB 2000 specs states it pulls 960 l/h of air. You can see that HERE

Bought 2 stands that can be adjusted at 4 different heights. Solid construction I like them. Good for people who have deep sumps like myself.

Where did you pick up that stand from?

Cheers,

Here it is. I bought 2 of them so the skimmer would have some extra room so I wouldn't have to worry about it falling off.

I replaced my very old Euroreef with a DC-3 8 days ago. Works well, started skimming the next day after install on a 200G SPS reef. Very consistent.

Pump speed 6
in 6 3/4" of water
Not sure what setting gate valve is

I think by having it on a stand with the bottom exposed it gets better performance vs being on a flat surface with onlt 1/2" between the pump inlet and the bottom of the sump. JMO

P.S. i only have 4 fish in a 90G tank. So even with a low bioload its pulling all that out.

My old skimmer is officially up for sale

I went with the RLSS R8-I 8 and managed to get it crammed into my small sump and stand. I can say the RLSS is well built and solid construction. So far it is breaking in and running on setting 5 on the pump in 8 inches of depth on my 210 gallon tank. I see you guys have been doing well with the Reef Octopus, I hope my RLSS turns out as good too.

It seems yours is doing great. Mine I'm still trying to get dialed in. I'm on speed 5 in 7 inches water. I'm still trying to figure out where to set the bubble break.

Yeah I would like to drill some 1/2" holes in my stand I got. Just don't know how easy that would be I wouldn't want to crack it.
