This is exactly why I will always use Marco Rock (or something similar) to start new builds and control exactly what comes into the tank. Of course you will always end up with hitchhikers here and there, but my 75gal has been up for over two years and I've never once seen green hair algae.

Best of luck! This is truly a clean and awesome build and your hard work is clearly shown.

Updates?? I love your tank so much. You definitely raise the bar when it comes to home aquariums! It's among my favorite, and I also appreciate the fact that there was no detail that was overlooked, and a lot of thought, time, and expense were put into this build.

Figured I would update this thread a bit. The tank has gone through another owner and I am the proud new owner of this setup. It is going to take some work and tweaking (paint stand, polish acrylic etc), but I am hoping to get it running here in the next couple of months.

What External Overflow box did you use to go coast to coast - Synergy?

It is a custom made acrylic overflow box, with teeth built into the back of the tank spanning 3' of the 4' back. Box itself is a little over 3'x4.5"x8.5"tall.
