I suspect it is only displaying the name of the first network it see. What is the name of the network it list and what is the name of your network? Maybe they are in alphabetical order? Try changing the name of your network to AAA or set up a guest network and set it to AAA or 111.

Network name is "ilikeboobs" ... WPA2. Will set up a guest network AAAA and see how that works.

I was wrong. It will show multiple. Mine was only showing one. All you need to do is power cycle it while it is hooked up. After two power cycles mine started showing multiple networks. It does not seem to work with 5GHz though as non of my 5GHz show up.

I seem to be having trouble with presets. If you are having trouble with saving a ramp after making a preset, try selecting "No preset" and then save. I am skipping the presets deal till I hear from AI.

initial impressions.

Nice packaging, the unit is much smaller than I had expected. The USB power unit (just like the controller) appears weak and has already caused me a problem or two with the unit not powering on.

There are certainly a few software bugs currently, have had to reload the webpage a few times, also not to mention my.aquaillumination.com keeps going down.

But these are all part of being a BETA tester.

I haven't had much time to play yet, just wanted to get these photos on.

Go to:

http://support.aquaillumination.com/registration

Register then create a Request for support. If I recall correctly, this is the way they said to do it during the selection process for beta testing. That is what I have been doing.

Oh wait nevermind, I see they have a special support drop down on their ticket system, says "Director Beta Feedback" under the request type menu.

http://support.aquaillumination.com/...s_requests/new

Owen what do you mean you had trouble with the power supply? I unplugged mine and plugged it back in thinking the same thing, but noticed the little LED is small so I didn't notice it at first. It took it a second to turn red too.

That is new this afternoon. Was not there a couple of hours ago. LOL

I have unplugged, moved and power cycled my unit several time and have not had any PS problems.

after unplugging and plugging back in to try get the director to appear in a wireless search both decided to just stop working. The Director would not turn on, no red light. I'd wait 60 seconds and power it back up, nothing......thought i'd gone and screwed it. Then after waiting 5 minutes it powered back up. Red light shining.

Mine is weird, connected the web just fine, but when I login the my.aquaillumination.com site, I just get a blank screen.

Maybe I'll unplug it for a bit and see what happens.

my.aquaillumination.com appears to be down. I can't get on and program the director.

Time to plug in the old controller and set it back up for now

I can't even get connected to my router via ethernet. I have an ameritech router (Verizon) and no WPS so ethernet is the only option. Not sure how I'm going to get connected. I'm going to try my laptop wirelessly and see if I have any luck.

These are the bugs I have noted so far:

No support for hidden wireless SSID
Can not stop automatic timers on certain times ie 5:00pm can only stop on 4:59 and 5:01
Can not get automatic mode to run.
Automatic timer Preview gets stuck repeating 12:00am to 12:26am never runs a full day cycle

All you need to do it enter director-########.local and that takes you directly to the director without the my.aquaillumination.com site. Also you could just use the loacal ip address if you can figure that out.

Owen I had this happening too, but you can access it on your local network and bypass the server for now to keep playing with it. I dont know if you looked at the PDF on the website, but if you go to http://director-XXXXXXXX.local/ you can access it directly on the network.

XXXXXXXX is your serial number

I give up for now. The closest I got was trying to save the fixture to the squares. Which it never saved it. every time I click save it would register bit when I click on the settings it said no device has been added. Then it wouldn't let me back on to do nothing.

I too put old wireless controller back on.

Got mine. I need to figure out where to leave feedback. Can't seem to find where we're supposed to submit it.

Issues so far:

- On iPad, I can access my director via http://director-(serial).local. On Windows, I can only access it via my.aquailluminations.com I do have Bonjour for Windows installed, but it does not help. Windows 8 x64 here.

- Puck images don't load for 2 out of 4 VEGA fixtures I have.

- Even thought my director is less than 10 feet away from my light fixtures, yet signal strength is very low.

Suggestions:

- Really need explanations for what values in these text boxes actually mean:

In below image:

- Temp of 500? Is that 500F or 500C? Would be useful to have F/C indicator. Also, either one seems way to high.

- Note fan image sometimes loads, but sometimes does not.

- Finally, would be nice to be able to rename fixtures. Right now they all just say Vega, I'd like to rename to something like Vega 1, Vega 2, or Vega L1, Vega R1, etc.

In below image:

- No idea what the vertical line represents. Can't seem to select it, and adding/deleting light points does not seem to affect it.

- Also, no presets? I'd like to see at least same presets as for new wireless controller available (Fiji, Carribean, Etc)

Ok, some success, but not really. If I try to enter "director-########.local" I get an "oops" message from google chrome. I was able to access the director when I typed in the IP address for it in my router. Problem is that I get the Network setup screen/Wireless settings/ select access point and there is nothing to select. I've got an ethernet connection, a wireless router, but nothin' doing.

I am stuck.
