Smile Cement

Another cement covering project on another material this time, but the process is always the same, cement, sealer.

Although many of these projects are made for freshwater, the projects are also valid for saltwater; the process are the same, and the level of care must be the same in both cases. Proper sealing of materials and preventing leaching of harmful chemicals or substances prevail in either cases. The ideas and originality is what interest me here. Wood is and could be the only material to be avoided in a saltwater tank unless special care and circumstances where met.

Here another video about a very mixed up set a mad mad kind of set up but seem to be working well... funny actually, enjoy.

Smile Brain storming

Brain storming; remember your aquascape is not your tank, its not the finish product, its like a trunk to a tree, the leaves will come later, with your corals, and frags, over doing it is possible.

Yes some rock can be cut with a saw your blade will have to be replaced but you can achieve great modeling without putty just by squaring off large pieces.

Lightbulb Water flow

Feature Article: Water Flow is More Important for Corals Than Light

One thing to consider when doing your aquascape is your waterflow. Check out this short but very informative article about waterflow an underestimated factor in are reefs.

************************http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2006...view#section-7*******************************************

Same colony different flow

Your rock work will affect this throughout the life of your tank no matter what pump or skimmer you add, think of it.This video is a mute one but lots of good tips in it.

Water flow

Water flow follow up

Watching some video on water flows make me realise that are sculptures and rockwork can seriously hamper are water quality so its not too much, and too late to talk a bit about or think about it while doing your scaping. To help you understand or visualise the concept those videos are very revealing of the stake invole. The material and brand are not important just the way they are used can be applied to any power head, pumps and controlers. You have to watch all of them to get the point .

More ideas

Don't discount that for saltwater i've seen this used for a row of bubble coral with fantastic effect, but i can't load the picture its on a private setting.I've used this analogy for it.When ever you see fresh water transpose into corals and the idea is plain and simple.
