My recollection is that one species of banner fish is reef safe and one is not. It has been a few years so I do not remember which one is and which is not.

Here is a tenative stock list for My 75 gal mixed reef. I'd like to have inverts but I cannot get past getting a fuzzy dwarf so I believe those might be out of the question.

Sailfin tang
Fuzzy dwarf lion
Mandarin goby
Black Saddleback clown x 2
Lunare wrasse
Dwarf flame angel
Ruby red dragonet

Sorry, I do not provide analysis on aggressive fish community tanks. (in your case, with a dwarf lion, you would be providing a lot of expensive snacks) You can post your own thread here.

Current occupants are,

1 Fox Face Trigger Fish
2 Tank Bread Orc Clowns
9 Blue Streak Cardinal
1 Blood Red Fire Shrimp
1 Diamond Watchman Goby

Wanted to add Wrasses, and local breeder has a bunch that just came out of quarantine (Love buying my fish from him as he quarantines and treats all fish prior to selling)

was think of picking up this combination of wrasses

1 Yellow Coris Wrasse
1 Carpenters Wrasse
1 Blue Headed Fairy Wrasse
1 Red Head Solon Wrasse

Should be okay I hope

I'm so glad I found this site before I bought a bunch of fish that my lfs would gladly sell me but won't work!
I have a 55gal with plenty of live rock, sand, protein skimmer, filter and powerheads

Currently housed:
2 ocellaris clowns (introduced about a month ago)
2 pj cardinals (just bought them, currently in quarintine)

Plan to get:
1 diamond sleeper goby or golden head sleeper goby
1 angelfish - I like Flame or Coral Beauty if my tank is big enough?
1 tang - again, whatever my tank will hold, if anything???

I'm open to suggestions for the rest, especially if some of what I was going to get won't fit

Thanks for the help!

Tangs are min of 75g or 6' in length as they need the room to swim.

I have done worse. A rabbitfish would do better in a larger tank, however, so do not add any additional algae grazers (wrasses don't eat algae)

I recommend 6 feet or better for this fish.

I have a 36x16x12 mixed reef, with 20 gallon sump. Currently there is a YWG, Swiss Guard Basset, Pink Streaked Wrasse, and Maroon clown. Could I add a Chalk Bass, or Gold Assessor Basslet? I'm not sure if either one would get along with the Swiss Guard, who rarely is out swimming.

Either would most likely work. Greatest threat is the maroon clownfish.

Both must be tiny and then it will be fine. If one is not tiny, the other one absolutely must be.

I have a 15 Gallon Tank (Long Design Rather than Taller), with a HOG Refugium. My wife and I were looking at some fish and there are a couple we love. I haven't looked too far into how many fish I should have just yet as I am still cycling my tank and currently getting caught up on CUC required and Cycling and Proper Water flow.. etc.

We were planning on having the following, All fish were to be probably as small as we can get them from the Fish Store:

2 Clowns (True Percula)
Cleaner Shrimp

Now this is the part were debating on:

She Loves the Moorish Idol, but I've heard bad things about them.

And I Love the Porkipine Puffer.

Anything We should be worried about?

Thanks in Advance

2 Clowns (True Percula) A pair of clownfish is marginally ok, however only just since they really need about 25 gallons. Your other options discussed below are not even close to working, especially with the clownfish.
Cleaner Shrimp fine

And I Love the Porkipine Puffer.

Anything We should be worried about? Neither will work in this sized tank

Thanks in Advance

Hi - 45 gallon reef/live rock tank is underway. Stocking with only captive bred (which makes availability a bit tricky). As such, I'm thinking of modifying my plan a bit. Currently has 2 ocellaris clowns. Looking to add:

3 Pajama Cardinals
1 Greenbanded gobies
1 orchid dottyback (to be added last)

OR

2 Pajama Cardinals
2 Greenbanded goby
1 orchid dottyback

Originally was going to do yellow watchman goby but was thinking of swapping for the smaller greenbanded. As always thanks for the advice.

I am new to all this.
We just got a 29 gallon tank.
I currently have a blue damsel and a black and white striped damsel. We thought maybe we could have one more fish or 2 if they are small. Any recommendations?
I've read mixed things about adding clowns. My black and white damsel doesn't seem very aggressive at all. It mostly hides in a cave and comes out to eat. comes out once in a while but spends a lot of time in the cave. has ever since we got him. So, not a lot to look at in the tank

I think you will have difficulty adding fish to this sized tank with two damsels as they will be aggressive towards tank mates.
