Is it overkill or would make things harder to adjust if you had multiple check valves?

My used setup came with needle valve > Sealed Plastic with Rubber crayon tip style Check Valve > Vertical Glass with Plastic Plunger Check Valve > Kynar Check Valve > CaRx

Wondering if I should remove two of them or just keep it as is. System seems to be running consistently.

Does anyone know which part number or where to buy stainless steel "john guest" quick connect fitting to replace the compression nut on my swagelok needle valve? although I probably won't need to remove the tubing at all or rarely, tightening the compression nut with rigid air tubing was a little difficult so as to not rotate the needle valve from the regulator fittings.

Just wanted to double check, but running at 3-5 psi (turn off solenoid to pressurize), and then when in operation and open, the 2nd stage gauge should read down to pretty much zero?

Open the valve at the tank fully. 1st gauge will tell you how full the tank is.

Adjust the valve on the regulator itself till the 2nd gauge (lp) reads the desired operating pressure

I run the second gauge at 30psi on mine. I believe I read that somewhere in this thread. Anyways, been running 30psi to the needle valve and have great success so far

My understanding is to get the low flow so you can really fine tune the bubbles.

You need a burkert type 2506 din connector for that solenoid bro.

I've got a really cheap metering valve on it which does the job but it's not constant. The knob on the reg does a better job. My thoughts were to remove the burkert solenoid, cheap needle valve and go with the carbondoser black box. Or get a very nice needle valve. ebay has way too many to select from. Thinking of Hoke micro mite but not sure yet.

Those are made of brass denoted by the “B” and are a weird size, 3/8” denoted by the “6”. Also I recall Alanle specifically recommending the Hoke 1300 series of metering valves as they’re low flow. I’m not sure what the flow rate is for the 1600 series.

Anybody have any experience with these 2 metering valve, Swagelok SS-SS 2 or 4 and the Ideal 52-1-11? On paper the Swagelok has a cv of .004 and Ideal at .019. Is there any difference when it comes to performance or am I just splitting hairs? TIA

I have the Swagelok ss-ss4-a-VH, the only difference is the angle and the vernier handle. Just like the ss-ss4 and the ss-ss2, it’s the low flow metering valve that you want. The ss-ss4 is the 1/4” one whereas the ss-ss2 (in the link I provided) is the 1/8” one.

I have no experience with the Ideal valve that you mentioned.

I'm having issues getting a steady bubble count. I will get a bubble then a few seconds later 2 bubbles , then no bubbles for a few seconds and the cycle continues like that. I have my gauges set at 10 psi. I have a swagelok metering valve. Not sure which is bad, the metering valve or the regulator.
