Experimenting. The pilars are mostly tunze coral gum which I can confirm is way better than normal 2 part. The ledges were stabilized with standard 2 part and then cemented in place with Nyos quick dry reef cement which is basically concrete that starts to cure in 2 minutes and is 60% cured within an hour.

The 3 ledges on the overflow are manga rock which frankly I'm concerned about falling the first time I press on them to stick a coral on them (normally wouldn't be a problem but I won't be able to retrieve the magnets once the stand pipes go in...

Magna Rock says their stuff is good for 1/2 inch but it Would not work on my back glass. (Tank has 2 inch bottom, 1 inch sides and 1/2 inch front and back).

So all 3 went on the overflow. Not my first choice but they hold OK there.

But you can put any rocks on them. So just coral attachment.

Did you glue the magnets on the other side in the overflow so the rocks can be pulled away, attach coral, and then reposition the ledge?

Or do they fall down or float in the overflow if the rock becomes detached?

If you don't glue them they will fall down in the overflow if the rock is dislodged.

Then you basically need a magnet on the end of a stick to retrieve them....well...any long metal stick.

since I just redid my scape I thought I might as well post it and get some constructive criticism about, the tank is currently in cycle so any changes would be easy to make

I see too much balancing act going on in the middle there. It looks good otherwise and you seem to have the right idea.

Bravo, I would've never guess that your tank was only 11" front to back.

A bit subjective, but i'd be inclined to turn that into 2 islands and create some nice open sand bed area.

This would give you some dominant focal points.

I tried to go for three sections. Plating stack, branching centre and a cave on the end
