wow what a difference between the two. That purple coral really seems to get blown around under the 24v and under the 15v seems have a more gentle sway to it.

You can see in Else mode, the pump doesn't stop. If you listen carefully you can hear the pump ramps up and down like singing a song as serpent said.

Okay after two days of using this pump it seems to be louder than my Vortech MP40 now. I can clearly hear it over my vortech. For those that haven't changed the voltage, is it pretty loud for you too?

Here are some videos of W1 mode running at 19.5v with knob in different settings

Knob somewhere in the middle

Knob all the way to left (counter-clockwise)

Knob all the way to right (clockwise)

As you can see by turning the knob clockwise you decrease the pulse rate. Based on the size and rockscape of your tank, you will be able to find a sweet spot where you can have max wave or rapid waves on the left side of the sweet spot or gentle waves on the right side of the sweet spot.

I am using the W1 mode. I like the realistic rocking motion it makes.

My three units just arrived, it only took six days from the ship date until they were on my door step, pretty good if you ask me. They came with the three extra light sensors as promised, the sensors are individually packaged, and the connectors coming out of them will need to be trimmed as they are at least three times longer than the ones that came packaged from the factory. Upon quick inspection they appear to be the same sensor, but I will take a closer look after I take them out of the packaging.

The curiosity is driving me nuts, but I won’t have a chance to play with them until later today, but at least they have arrived intact.

Yes, either the universal laptop power supply referenced throughout the thread or a PWM.

Can someone who has access to the pumps right now pull the adapter plug out of the controller and plug it back in really quick? Do you see a spark? Not sure if this is normal.

Mine came in today! I've been playing with it for the past half hour. I've tried putting it halfway behind my rockwork (so some of it is getting blocked) but I'm getting a gentle wave in my 32" long tank. I'll try to post a video in the next couple of days.

I do hear the humming on/off so hopefully it'll quiet down in the next day or two.

Don't need to, I have seen the spark you mention.

Any time you plug in an appliances that is "on" you will see the spark. What is not normal about that?

They definitely work stand-alone. The problem is they are too powerful at 24v. Some of the videos on YT are downright scary. I'm still ordering one.

Was just wondering. I'm afraid to put my finger near it when I plug it in because don't want to get electrocuted... lol

Received my 2 today. Ordered the 13th, shipped the 14th. Six days from overseas, I can't complain. My orders from MD usually take as long.
Came with 110v power cords, and they also threw in 3 extra light sensors.. I guess they must be getting complaints of people not seeing/losing them.
