or the fact they dont work

I saw on another site that reef angel will start taking pre orders for the cable that will control and they said it would be able to work on the apex as well. Can anyone confirm that the variable speed port on the ra is the same as on the apex?

I got mine. Here it is in my 120g, as you can see a lot of thing pop up (I never noticed any of those particles on the substrate before). Its on W1 mode at 50%. The tank will be converted into a reef tank soon after I fix the plumbing. My tank actually hold really close to 110g of water without any live rocks. I think its perfect for a 120g. It think the actual amount of water in the tank will determine if a person needs 1 or 2 WP40 (or if a WP40 will be too much).

serpent - I thought the same thing. When I was trying to describe the different modes I thought it was programed to song as well.

chema - The WP-40 is not dead silent as some have said. I think to me its like a 2-3 I did a video a few pages back and you could hear my MP-10 over the pump and I was less than a 1ft away. I will try to find my noise meter and see if I can get a reading.

SimonSKL - I really like the way you did the video...is that just ribbon and a paper clip?

Your pump is quite a bit louder than mine and you said it is running at 50%. Did you use a variable power supply?

Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I'm sure this had been answered but if that plug will work on the apex can I use the Vortech profiles that are already programmed into the apex?

No variable supply. I'm guessing it would be more quiet with one of those power supply. I like the high flow and did not think I needed one.

I think its kinda loud as well.

I turned my knob far right (longest interval in between each ramp up and down). I'm getting a nice wave, but not too much. It might be too much if I added my live rocks.

There's some links not to far back..You can actually get one for like $12 on amazon that's a simple plug and play. I heard someone say they used a laptop charger!! I have the link on my laptop so if you want i can send it to you

So my flow game stinks and I just ordered a tunze wavebox. (Paypal's skrewed me big time 3 months ago and Im trying to signup with another persons name/bank acct..geez). How would this wavebox work if i used it with a WP-40? Will I have a wet floor unless I cut the power in 1/2?

has anyone ever used a tunze wavebox with a vortech/jebo for keeping acros happy?

I went ahead and got one for $12 on eBay it's universal so it cames with multiple tips and can be adjusted from 15v to 24v what am I going to have to set it to for a 4' 75 gallon mixed reef? Is this pump blowing anyone's sand around.

Great illustration simon..IMO the 15v flow is sufficient for a 4'' tank....You get a 5 star rating from me

For those that have used one of these, at 12v or 14v would it be too much for a 26"x26"x18" 50g cube?
