Pool Man,
1 Very important distinction with the pads is their location.
Each pad is programmed differently in regards to east to west or west to east sequence.
I suppose if you don't use it you may be fine but not positive on that.
You can use the 260 but there will be a color & power difference.
Try Adam @ the # I listed above if needed. #1438

Forgive my ignorance on the subject, I'm more of a plug-n-play guy. Physically, I'm sure it would fit. I'm not overly concerned with the east/ west function (didn't use it). If I can live with the color of SR260 pads I'd be concerned with the power going to it? I've been in touch with Adam. Waiting on a reply. He quoted me a price, but not sure if it was for a single pad or a set. If it was for a single pad... I may have to consider parting my fixture out!

Hey no worries not all of us including myself are up to snuff on this.
I have been looking into pads myself.
With the currency fluctuations they run in the neighborhood of $220 for 1 unit.
My fixture has both units & I was told the 260's would be over driven??
IF you part out let me know.

Ok, so they will work. That's good to know. How's the color difference?

Hi all I'm new to this thread and have been doing a lot of reading tonight. What a great thread! Just set up a new 525 Gallon tank with the SR260. Wish me luck!

Hi guys,
i have a sr260 1200 and one of the the main Pads is not working. I have another shorter sr260 600 that I am thinking about closing down later this year. Rather than sell it Can I take one of the pads and put it in my sr260 1200mm light?
Does anyone have instructions?

You can
BUT-- if you use sunrise & sunset they have to be from the same relative position.
#3 replaces #3, #5 replaces #5 etc.

I don't use sunrise/sunset so that should be fine. Is it as easy as unscrewing the old pad our and screwing the new one in?
Do I need the mounting kit? And how do the pads talk to each other? Is there a socket it connects on the back of each pad?
What are the chances of messing up the whole light fixture? It's an expensive kit...
Sorry for all the questions.

Have never done anything with mine but I do know there are prongs on the back of the units that pierce the wires to make contact.
Adam could answer your questions as their rep.

hi Vinny,
I wonder if Adam has changed his number because too many people are calling him. I tried calling and I think the number is no longer active.
Do you have instructions on resetting the pads by any chance?

That number is absolutely active, I just called and the voicemail says he is in Germany until yesterday. I suspect it will ring through to him soon. It also suggested emailing him or calling the main number at 714-274-6550.

The pads are individual to each light and assigned a spot in the fixture, swapping them between fixtures or placement within the original fixture will not work.

Well I've had my Illumina SR260 4' fixture for over 6 years now.

It's worked flawlessly. I've never messed with it or anything.

My questions, is if I wanted to update with new modules like UV/red, etc....Can we still get these from anyone? Also, are they expensive?

Not that I know of, because of patent issues.

Yes, something to do with the controller, basically the same thing that shut down Solaris lighting. There have been stories on it.
Bummer for us here in the states.
Don't understand how others do it.

Hello All,

So i just purchased a SR 260 4' version from a fellow reefer i am having a little trouble setting everything up with the V-Stick. How do i set up the main control the V-stick is recognized however it will not let me start making a schedule or anything. Also if i were to get a schedule from someone is there a way to upload that schedule to my light fixture Via the V-stick?

do a youtube search. first thing is to install the software, get the software to recognise the stick, connect to the light setup a schedule and then upload the program to the light.

Finally after 6 years+ all the fans in my SR200 6' fixture are not working. Has anyone tried to replace them and is it possible to do so?
