Is your fixture losing settings or just resets to its clock to 8 am? When my power goes out it resets its clock, but all settings stay the same.

TBH I never checked the program setting after a power outtage, cuz when I try to "load from lamp" it always go crazy with red leds coming on and off then i get this crazy map loaded onto the laptop.

It resets to 8am yes, I think this is a known issue but I would feel more safe if it kept the program. How to find out for sure?

I experienced the same problem with the clock being reset to 8:00 am while I was loading the program from the lamp to adjust the lighting intensity. The fixture turned off as it was not programmed to be on at 8:00 am. The reset did not affect the original settings.

For the second time around, I loaded the program from the "project" folder instead and changed the lighting intensity there, and then saved it onto the lamp. Everything was fine doing it this way.

I sure hope ATI North America is monitoring this thread to take these reported problems into considerations for their next software update(s).

FYI. If you have one of the newer manufactured units it should actually retain the time if the outage was relatively short, as in no more than 5-6 hours. I discussed this with ATI when I first got my light and if you contact them and send it in they may be willing to update it for you. Also the program shouldn't get wiped. Only the clock resets.

Fyi. I posted my experience to my build thread here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...1#post21819461

It speaks to the power outage concerns too.

Here's the link to the latest software update for the Led Powermodules as of June 10, 2014.

http://www.atinorthamerica.com/artic...ED-Fixtures-19

In case the link doesn't work, go directly to atinorthamerica.com and download it from there.

thanks, brand new software huh? Did ATI give any "read me" files on the improvements compare to the older?

Unfortunately, there's no "read me" files on what exactly is being updated or what problems the update would solve. I did a little digging and searching on google and came across this youtube video on how to do a firm ware update on the led clusters.

From 00:19 - 00:21, the guy did say that ATI will send you the updater module. I'm not sure if it's free or if there will be an additional charge. Again, it didn't say what the update will do or what it will improve. Just a little minor detail.....

I'm just a little taken back in this day and age you can't just update everything with an internet connection and a usb connection between your laptop and the light fixture. Here's the link:

Yeah no kidding. People always seem to talk up German Engineering......maybe they mean Mechanical engineering. The electrical/software aspects of this fixture are pretty lacking. No controller integration, no easy way to update the firmware on the fixture, the clock resets during power outages. Aside from that the clear cover warps and mine doesn't have a clip to secure it.

i think that maybe need a battery for clock memory...but i don't understand how save ever the programs and the settings and loose only clock time..maybe Oliver or ATI can explain..i'm thinking to put an UPS ..but are over 600W and need a big one (i have one for pumps and it's very big i can't have another one big only for fixture!!)
But.. i don't think is a dangerous problem for corals and tank.. if power fail it reset to 8 AM..and cycle begin one more time..if happen 1or 2 time a month are absolutely not a problem for livestock..if happen every day maybe..but is better to check your power plant

Quick question, and my apologies if this is buried in the thread:

When I create a lighting schedule in the ATI program, all the new ones I create are being saved with a little lock icon on them and I can't upload them to the lamp. What am I doing wrong?

hey guys - been out of the loop for a while but finally it's time to move my tank and upgrade. I thought reefgeek had an ATI fixture with LED's and T5's but now I don't see it. I have a mixed tank, mostly LPS and softies but want to bring in more SPS up top. Nothing to delicate though. Going from a 75 gal to a 120. I was thinking 4 T5's and the LEDs should do it, agreed? What model has those specs and where the heck can I find one?

Are you saving these from the "file" menu? If you are doing it this way, you are saving them as "projects" until you load them onto your lamp by clicking the "lamp" tab and selecting "save in lamp." There will be a bar graph with the percentages showing as the program is being saved and loaded onto the lamp.

Reefgeek has them all, just look under LED category, then Powermodule subcategory.

How do you know if your new light fixture has the update regarding loosing your program and the clock resetting?

I'm considering going back to T5's and I always loved ATI powerrmodules.

Gracias

Hi mark54321,

Notice you have the 39watt hybrid, does yours got that little clip to prevent plexiglass from sagging down.

Also anyone just got their powermodule hybrid just recently?? And still not fixed with that clock reset thing ?

Thanks

No , it doesn't, mine was one of the first models released, come without a clip.

from

it says:

Complete, 24-Hour Lighting Control: Produce realistic
sunrise-sunset effects, cloud sweeps and moon light simulations.*

I have never seen anyone posted about this. Is this doable?

Nevermind. Looks like it needs to be programmed manually.

However can anyone share a cloud sweep program? How long do you dim the light for each cluster?
