Not yet. I stopped the water before it hit the overflow. I need to drill my sump still so it can spill into the fuge. And I also need some 3/4" hose for for returm pump. Maybe tommorow Ill get the full system running.

Plumbing is done. I just got to patch a small pin hole leak on my CL intake and we are set. I got the sump and fuge plumbed up and its ready to go!
[IMG][/IMG] and the drain to the fuge has been drilled out and plumbed as well. [IMG][/IMG] I just have to let the silicone on the baffles cure for a bit more and we will be set! |

I see so the tank drains to the sump where the skimmer will be then gravity feeds the fuge and then gets pumped back to the tank?
Is the gate valve at the bottom for draining at water change time?

Its running! One little mishap. The right side returns bulkhead and union wasnt very tight and squirted a little bit of water. I also have to lenghten the durso about 3/4". Water level is just a bit too low for my taste.

Sweet! I know the feeling when I first kicked on my pumps I was running around with a flashlight checking every fitting and hoping the tank wouldn't overflow onto the floor!
Glad to see you moving along with the build, your getting close now. I bet the urge to mix up saltwater and get rock in there is pretty strong now? Chris

Yah. Ill let the tank run with regular tap for a day or so. Aquascaping is scheduled for next weekend hopefully. Im still debating if I should use this TM salt I got right off the bat or just go with IO for now and keep the TM for WCs.

The skimmer is internal right?
I'd say use up the IO if you have some then switch to TM. Scott and I calculated the cost of IO versus TMPro. it was only 5¢ a gallon more for TM Pro versus IO. If you are gonna buy salt I'd get a hold of a bag of TM regular I think it works out to only 2¢ a gallon more than IO if you buy the 300 gallon bag of TM, and then you know your alk and calcium will be the same. Just FYI with a calcium reactor and using TM Pro I get a very stable alk of 9dkh and calc. at 420 which is about as perfectly balanced as you can get. I buffer nothing.

Chris, the skimmer can be used internal or external if it ever gets made. Ill give the manufacturer till end of the day tommorow. If it doesnt happen, Ill go a different route as far as skimmer goes. Maybe an internal Euro Reef 250 or a beckett. Ill just use the rest of this Seachem I got left to get started. I want it gone anyways. Ill start using the TM for the 90 and the WC from that will go into the new 150. Ill take my time before a complete change over is done.

BK mini!? Yah Chris, thats way out of my budget. One thing for sure that Im happy with is, not one item on this tank build went into a credit card nor a store card. Id like to keep it that way so dont tempt me! LOL!(i have considered the BK mini bigtime though) Change of plans on the tank. im draining it right now. I can not aquascape much this weekend since its football season(yes, I like football as much as reefing) and its my wifes bday this weekend too. So Ill drain it tonight and will start rinsing out 5 bags of sand starting tommorow. I have been tinkering with the rock I have on the pool table and I decided that I like a packed rock aquascape than an open look.
