if my tank is pretty cloudy right now, and I throw that sock with some carbon in there tomorrow, it should clear right up correct? or no

It will probably clear up without the filter sock, but a sock surely wouldnt hurt. The carbon may be a bit premature on this tank, but again, it's not going to hurt anything.

so I had a huge carbon mess last night, and I mean HUGE, after getting that ressolved I got a few more parts into such as my return, my drain elbow, (for water height) and my pisces acclimator, my water level is good, and the water looks good, now I'm just waiting for my cycle to complete, and I need more rock.

well the fuge is no longer in the main one, im building a seperate stand and splitting the drain etc, it'll be sweet, just got home tonite, and my tank is 100% as clear as possible, looks like theres no water in it just have to flip flop my rocks tomorrow and it will be good to go and I need way more rock as well.... god I'm happy this worked out for me.

Pictures in a bit, gotta redo some stuff. Also, I'm getting a lot of microbubbles back in the display, is that the way my drains setup???? or possibly from my skimmer,

could be from either, but a lot of new tanks just take a bit of breaking in for microbubbles to go away. I'd give it a few weeks of run time before really chasing down anything that's not painfully obvious.

its not horrible at all, just noticeable, but my drain pours into my sump, the filter sock is off. and my levels are semi low, not everything is up and running for good yet.

Well heres a small update, my tank has cleared up a LOT as you can see, also got some bad things on this LR I believe as well, picked up from a Local in his tank, but it was a look down so he probably couldn't tell I'm posting in a seperate ID Thread, however heres some pics of the tank as of tonite, I also built a small work area shelf, and used the stand for my tank as a table top, possibly for a QT tank in the long run, and under cabinet storage.

thats actually like a 10 dollar heater from walmart and its just temporarily heating the water till I get my controller and nice one, its keeping it at about 77, and its not submersible so yea, lol. however when I get the new one it will be in the sump, and yes the tank is very clean now thank god, I flipped all the rocks and stirred the sand from my carbon disaster, also I have to joes juice just about everything on those rocks, AND, that skimmer is temporary, and the fuge that used to be in there is going to be pulled out and have a seperate stand for it while splitting the drain so I can feed into the fuge and have it drain back into the sump, lots of work, trimming the outside of the tank hopefully this week sometime, make it look somewhat presentable ;D

haha, i hear ya man, I'm glad my dads done plumbing since he was 16 and hes now 45, so.. I guess he knew what he was doing on my ro/di and tank etc. and he gets everything for free for me from his job, so I can't complain, minus the weird parts I have to order from MarineDepot. , oh I almost forgot to mention, notice my return spout, and my elbowed strainer drain , I think it works out pretty good keeps the water level JUST below the rim of the tank, so I can have some powerful flow, and stick my whole arm in the tank without it overflowing

I have the same gloves. It's really starting to look like a fish room.
I agree with Paulie, get rid of the aiptasia. This stuff works great.

Looks good so far, i wish i was able to make a fish room like you have. I am techincally above my water heater and furnice, i could potentially make a fe holes and plump in downstairs but i know my father does not want that especially if im going to be moving out within 2 years.. i will married next year:S

Yeah, looks good. You DO have a couple of things to rid yourself of on the rocks. You have two nuisence anem, one is Aiptasia, the other is Majano anemones.. both are bad, but the one that is really hard to rid yourself of is the Majano anemone. Try to get rid of them soon before you get coral in the tank.
