Bought a complete setup with one of those.Had live stock in a rubbermaid tub and before I could take it to the LFS my wife put it in a 265g because it was cute.
After losing several cleaner shrimp/blood shrimp and most of the cleanup crew we finally removed all the live rock and still had trouble catching it. |

Six line wrasse killed everything new I would put in my tank. it could be 5 times bigger than him he was going after it. Damsels your curse I love them , have 35 of them in my 1200 gal reef they add a lot of color. mine only bother each other. Do beware though some kinds will wreck havoc I have the plain blue yellow tails and three stripe, jewel damsel. I think tank size helps.

I placed my Green Star Polyps on the overflow to grow over that ugly looking black thing. It's been close to 4 months and it looks great! Once it starts getting closer to rocks/glass work I'll end up cutting it off with a razor blade.

Mushrooms are starting to take over my tank. I have purples and greens. The greens are much slower multipliers but the purples are like gremlins in water

I added 3 damsels 1 black and 2 blue. Paid $15 for all and I had to take everything out of my 75 to catch them. What a pain.
I also regret adding any mushrooms and green star polyps. I am still trying to get rid of them all.

Mine would be my murdering Lunar Wrasse. He killed everyone in my tank.
On the Xenia and Green Star Polyp note. I love mine, have the Xenia isolated as well as the GSP. But im only 3 years in, a newb with lots to learn. |

I am only 3 years in also. I wish I would have I isolated my GSP, but know I have some on about half of my rocks. As for the shroom, there is no real way to isolate them b/c they will move around the tank.

I almost forgot about the orange spot rabbit fish someone gave me that developed a taste for zoas about 2 weeks after its arrival and ate every zoa in the tank except some ugly greenish brown colored ones.
