Yep I have been thinking about building one since I have a frag tank that is getting plumbed into the sytem and for expansion capabilities. Will have to add it to my (very) long list

The reef has been going thru Alk issues with fluctuations up and down. I guess its going thru its growing phase angain and the Alk is dropping below normal levels.
I however have been soooo busy that the reef is suferring and bleaching. I since got it under control.
Here is a Stag which I took out to examined for any bugs. None found. It the necrosis ceases then I'll leave it alone, otherwise I'm gonna have to frag it
Here you can see its beautiful blue tips and the ugly bleached truck!

Found time and set up my chiller and duct work with fan to vent hot air out to the basement. The chiller is under the stand cabinet.

Some updated pics....

I call these guys my DHL Devilshorn

Purple Stylo colony next the Devil's horn

A Scroll plate coral? I got it pretty beat up with large defects in it tissue. Debrided the areas and nursed it back to health

This Panapi Birdsnest gifted to me by DiverRad is a variant of its thinner branched Panapi relative

War Coral, a prize piece, gift from OPG, is placed at the bottom of the tank (29") far left side in low light. I think this is bringing out its deep colors

Front lawn property

A gift from Jarrett Shark, this ORA Birdsnest was placed of a rock and glue up on the rocks but fell down and I left it on the sand (too lazy to stick my hand down to the bottom of the tank.) well the Goby adopted it and takes care of it.

Not too happy with my Ric/ Zoa garden

The Pink/Green Stylo recreated Colony from the mother colony that started to STN a few weeks ago.

Section Milli. Here in this section are different variants of Milli (Blue, Purple, Mint Green, Red Planet, and Yellow) I could get a good picture representation of its colors

This coral was unappreciated and a beige color before I placed mid to high level in the tank, and colored up beautiful and growing at a nice rate.

Not sure where this coral came from but it the rock is flat and I was trying to use it as a rock shelf but kept falling so I just shoved it in the back wall high up by the overflows. The rock was hard to break so I positioned it with the coral on top. Now it is growing beautifully and appears like a crown. My name for it...Crown Molding

The quite but equal magnificent Setosa, Gift from Jackson6765

Really nice growth Doc! I love that you just dont have a tank of frags and have really grown out the coral. It really looks great.

Talking

Deep Purple Acropora Tenuis Colony
Acquired 2/21/11

Started STN very very slowly, but I just didn't want to lose any more of it so I fragged it up and created a new colony.

New Marco rock
