Thoughts? My tank is brand new, just cycled, and I will be starting with soft corals next week. Over time I want probably just 2 hard corals at the very top. But mostly I will have fish and soft corals.

Way to strong. A few weeks ago I added 8 new frags and used the acclimation mode on the Spectral Controller up to 60%. After the acclimation it stayed at 60% for a week and I noticed some frags languishing so I lowered it to 50% and they're all doing much better.

A360we users!

I was cleaning the outside lenses on my kessils yesterday. I noticed I have fogging and dust inside my lenses. Not sure if its causing loss of par or anything but I'd like the lenses as clean as possible. Do any of you clean the inside or your lenses? or should I not have anything inside my lenses?. I don't see an easy way to get in there.

Thanks

I have a couple small particles of dust under mine. I haven't tried, but can you access it if you unscrew the lens cap?

You can disassemble your lights, but I don't advise it unless your willing to possibly damage your lights. It's not hard, but is does take some skill.

Hi everyone...I have a kessil light issue. I bought 2 a160 ' s on amazon in January 2015. Last night one of them stopped working. I thought it may have been a controller issue but I disconnected it and the light still won't work. The power supply is fine, and my other A160 is working fine. It's past the amazon return policy and I think kessil only offers 1 year warranty. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts on what I should do? Thanks...

Kessil will help you ........they are one of the best in the business !
Just give them a call , and have the serial number of the bad one handy if they ask for it.

I do think they went to a 2 year warranty on everything now .

HTH,
Herbie

Thumbs up Amazing indeed

I emailed the company asking if there was an easy way to clean the inside of my lights (have dust and some fogging). They asked to see pictures. Now they are sending me 2 new lights under warranty. I've had them since last April. I didn't think it was a super big issue just didn't like the look of it and wanted to clean them.

Cool, do you have to send others back?

Yes, I get the new lights and should receive a shipping label in 7 - 10 days. They send against your CC and will charge it if the old ones aren't received back in 30 days.

Yes, their customer service is second to none. I have a used 160 with some fogging, but it hasn't caused any problems. I think you have to unscrew a few small set screws in order to take off the lens? If you open it yourself, you void the warranty. If the light is past warranty, then it doesn't matter.
Anyway, great lights and a great company.

For the sake of sharing one, here is what I've been playing with the last couple of weeks. Its to early to tell if it will work but I took the stock program and and adjusted a little.

I will upload mine, i'm not super sure if I like the color wheel. I would like to be able to increase the individual colors to my own liking. My schedule is really simple, that's why I'd like a more comprehensive look at using the app for this

Those Kessil AP700 lighting adjustment graphs look eerily similar to the Apex Fusion Kessil 360 lighting adjustment wizard !

Here is my Kessil 360we color adjustment with the Apex Fusion Wizard .............

I've had this happen with one of my EB8s and a Kessil. The same light on another EB8 didn't flash. The flash was when something else in the EB8 was turned on by the Apex.

I witnessed the same thing happen once and I'm not running an apex.

Really depends on how much you want to spend. Personally I'd go with the ap700. It's a stronger light and will easily cover the 3 foot 40 breeder. 1 power cable cable as opposed to 2. No need to buy the Kessil controller or the link cable for 2 units. It ma actually come out cheaper or about the same for the ap700 when you start factoring all that in. I would not go with 2 160s as I believe those are more spotlights
