Super! Angel - the co-author of nudi books for the Caribbean & Indo-Pacific - will put it to good use. Thanks!
Are your rocks & critters most Indo-Pacific?

I have just your typical beginner polyps, and a few LPS and SPS. I'm guessing its Pacific. Not sure about where the CUC stuff come from.
BTW, watch your mailbox, shipped it from the post office today. Quote:

Unsure worm and pod?
Hi, I just set up my first saltwater tank and bought few piece of live rock from a LFS I found a worm (about 2-3 inches? ) and some kind of pod? Are these safe or I have to remove/ kill them? If I have to remove/kill them, then how can I do it?
Thanks a lot !!! |

I got my first combo coral rock 1 week ago, everything has been going great. Then today I spotted these freaky looking dudes on my coral rock. They look like some kind of nudibranch but I can't ID them. Please help and let me know if I need to get them out of my tank. It looks like there may be a few very tiny ones as well. The zoas have not opened fully for a few days either...
They are the frilly looking brown creepy dudes in the pics. Dead center in this one: [IMG][/IMG] Center of this one too: [IMG][/IMG] Here is a wide shot to show their size, they are on the far left center, and far right center just left of the Xenia: [IMG][/IMG] |

duyvo, they're probably fine, but hard to tell without a pic or better description.
Sekunda, I would dip that rock ASAP & keep an eye out. Nudis on corals are rarely a good thing.

Apparently those are Zoanthid Eating Nudibranchs, I found them on the Coral RX page. Yay... my first corals... my first coral eaters. Oh... pickles.

Duyvo, sandard bristleworm & a sand skater, both are fine!
Happens to the best of us, Sekunda!

Majano B_GONE
Hi all, I've been creeping for awhile now... haven't posted much in the past, just like to do some light reading every once and awhile... "reading" a common thing relating to this hobby.
Anyway the short end of it is... I have had a Nano JBJ 28CF up and running for about 2 years now. I started with all dry/base rock, recently i acquired a new clean up crew, not gonna mention "where from tho"... about a week after introducing them, I found a "MAJANO" can someone give me a positive ID, when give me a good remedy to get rid of it. Thanks in advance. -Jek- |

I'm new to all of this; put in my cured live rock today and noticed these "tentacles" a little while later. There are a few dotted around the tank, one of them has a stalk to it.
Is it the dreaded Aiptasia? |

iv started a local tank with local sand and local fish n other organisms. been fine for 6 months or so. noticing now what looks like 2 worm castings, one attached to a rock about a half inch wide n 3 inches long
the other keeps building a mound that i knocked down a few times. there are long, thin, white tentacles about 3 inches long and, like, one sixty-fourth of an inch thick that spread out and slowly retract collecting soil to build its "hill/casting". any idea what im lookin at? |
