flyyyguy, I think they are kaleidoscopes. In person, they have that... well, you know when it rains and the oil slicks in the parking lots have that opalescent sheen to them.. yeah that. Jesse BTW, flyyyguy, please tell me it's from "I'm Gonna Git you Sucka"! "He's the pimp of the year!" "That man's Shakespeare!" |

I would think that some have a frag tank along with a display. It's nice that people are culturing so our reefs aren't being depleted for our interest.

Supply and demand!
I think it is kind of crazy to buy by the polyp but if it is something rare or exotic I can see spending the money in hope to culture more. As kindafun mentioned it is the ecologicly moral thing to do. Hey there is nothing wrong with saving the planet and making some money. Ya can't down someone for that. Twenty years from now I bet you won't be able to buy a coral unless it is cultured.

The prices being charged today, has absolutely nothing, .......nothing at all to do with supply and demand.

There have been numerous discussions on the topic of supply, demand and pricing. The search functions are limited right now. Until they are back up, we can discuss the supply, demand and pricing topic in the links below.
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...5&pagenumber=1 http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...ighlight=mucho I started the photo thread for sharing pictures and I would like to keep it alive as long as possible. Mucho

Thank you stoneroller. This is a great thread so lets not use it as a debate forum. That topic will get discussed every week in different threads as it always does.

Threads go off topic sometimes, the key is bringing them back.

I don't believe I have ever posted in this forum, so might as well start.
These aren't fully open, had only been in the tank 20 minutes when I took the pictures.

Thanks Mucho, I just might have too. Saw some great ones at my LFS today, might have to go back there this week and get some more, and some more SPS too.
